I do practically all my Forum reading and posting from my Android phone. I always leave the browser running. If I shut it down the 'Defender' believes I am coming from a new location when I fire it back up and I have to enter a new code. Man I sleep better at night thanks to its diligence.

It always keeps asking me for my defender code when I try to log into the forums.Does this happen all the time or what?
It's been happening more recently, in the past 2 months. It's a minor thing, but keeps your account secure. It's mainly triggered when your browser is updated, especially more so with Win 10 browsers.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.
It is not bugging me I would rather log in without going to my e mail address.I would use a different pw for logging into the forums.Like most game forums do.

arc defender being really zealous, is one of the reasons i use the sub-reddit forums more than here, can't use a forum that i can't get into easily, especially when the first code i am sent is rejected.

The Arc defender hasn't given me any issues ever and I'm on Win10.
It was asking for codes from everything I tried to do. Not a joke. Login to the game, asks for code, login to forums, asks for code. So I just uninstalled the bloat program and went to steam. No problems since.

so basically the same as disabling arc defender as I suggested in the first place.
When I think about everything we've been through together,
maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,
and if that journey takes a little longer,
so we can do something we all believe in,
I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.

that doesn't make sense. Did it do it more than once? Once is normal, but it should only ask once.
I've disabled Arc Defender and it STILL wants a One Time Code. My problem was a system crash and a reinstall. And I've used the save password feature in my browser for so long that I forgot it and now cannot access the email account that is registered with Arc/Cryptic. Now what?
