Seen many different version of this mashup, but this probably the best one so far imo.

I wonder if it wouldn't have been better to turn the hangar bays into nacelles.

    Looks neat.
I wonder if it wouldn't have been better to turn the hangar bays into nacelles.

Why not all of them? Would be fun to see a starfleet ship with 4 "smaller" and 2 enormous nacelles. :D

Srsly though? Would be kinda overkill. Those would be some over the top beefy ~700-800m long nacelles.

    Winning.
It's what I do. It's what I just did. It's what I'm about to do again. It's being undisputed emperor of an empire that cannot be disproved as the most powerful intergalactic empire in the entire universe; I always win, and everything I've won will definitely be won again... by me. It's my signature move, and thus, it's my signature. Problem, Sonic? Yeah, I mean you, Sonic, because you're being beat up, despite your being super. You can't even hit Shadow back, can you? Nope, he's too strong for you. Of course, I'm not Shadow, I'm the Super Emerald fueled fox that's pulling the strings; trust me, the fight would only be a few frames long if I were in it personally. Oh, and here's something for all you guys thinking you can win Last Post Wins 3.0; trust me, I'll be around a long while after the sun has already consumed the Earth while I sit out with the forum servers on Titan. Yes, I mean Titan... that comparatively little moon orbiting Saturn. It's a nice little place in a version of our solar system where the sun is a lot bigger. I mean, Mars will last longer than your precious Earth, but by then, it'll be one hot planet... and I figure Saturn's moon will be about the right temperate for a super-powered warlord. Oh, and trust me, I packed a lot of rings, and I mean a lot. Trillions, in fact, so I'll never run out of rings to power my super form. Besides, if I start to run out, I can just chaos control more rings into my reach. It's quite easy, really. You should try it. Granted, you'll never have the 7 Super Emeralds that I have in my possession, nor the Master Emerald that I've got hidden away somewhere... absorbed into my body thanks to Sonic logic, but whatever. I win. Again. I'm not kidding, either. Just check Last Post Wins, and if the last post isn't mine, it soon will be. Very, very soon. You can count on it. Seriously. By the way, if you're wondering, there's a really great Super Tails sprite sheet out there... somewhere... by some guy named shadow_91. These sprites are really great. Like, really good. Quality. Just like what I like to see in a sprite sheet. Also, credit to Joe T.E., his Sonic Battle style Super Sonic sprites have a great palette for a Super Sonic being beat up by Super Shadow, who's palette is from a Super Shadow sheet of unknown origin, but it turns out they were "borrowed" from a better sheet made by a certain Domenico. Oh, and the gif is actually a custom made super version of a similar gif, of which there are only 3 or 4 copies to be found by Google, and even then, evidently of an unknown source. Yep, it's one of those things. Stuff people have made, spread around, only for it to vanish and you to be the only person who still has a copy, not even knowing where it came from... like, literally at all. Oh, and anyone notice that Shadow's little chaos snap blast thingies are red and blue now? Yeah, I changed it. Problem, fans of purple? Yeah, I know you got a problem with that one, but you can just deal with it. After all, according to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly... alright, alright, I'll spare you the entire Bee Movie script, just Google it if you want. By the way, ever wonder how your characters would've ended up if they evolved in another universe? Yeah, that. Think about it. Ok, so you probably didn't bother reading up to here, but whatever, here's a surprise for you guys over at ESD (RP) who were crazy enough to read this: Emperor Nat of the mcfreakin' Terran Empire is gonna be right all along! The universe is gonna go BOOM! *Thumbs up to the insanity*
Oh, now don't tell me you want in on all this! Well, ok. Look this that Egg Pawn hanging outside your window, pointing his laser rifle at you, waiting for my next order. He's doing his part. He helps conquer the weak-minded. He roboticizes the weak-bodied. Heck, he even helps keep the useless people from causing any trouble, but you know what? Join. Find the closest Nataran Empire roboticization center near you and join the ranks, before the ranks find you. Oh, I know, you figure it must be so satisfying to know I basically rule the world now, and you know what? It is, but do you want to know the true definition of satisfaction? Well, let me tell you a little story. One day, you see a brand new event. They're giving out boxes that give old event stuff. Your dilithium is plentiful. You buy a whole lot of Phoenix packs on your main, and open them all. You get one epic token. Then, you decide, that since you have all the Breen ships and don't give a damn about the others, you exchange it for an ultra rare, and grab yourself a Jem'Hadar Attack Ship and for the hell of it, a Voth Bulwark. You open both, leaving the Bulwark in your vast masses of starships as you jump into the bugship and deck it out, deck by deck, into the most awesome Jem'Hadar ship you can. You fly it. You enjoy it. Eventually, you get bored and leave, leaving the old Bulwark never flown... until later. Your main is long complete. Your new alt main, based off some character you pulled out of nothing just to explain away some starship being in service without the command of your dear admiral, is also complete. Mostly. Their reps and doffs are hard at work, getting you stuff. You realize the potential, and head back for your dear admiral, pull the most Voth themed build you can out of thin air, and suit up in your giant ship in the shape of you know what. You head out... and cause all sorts of havoc. Enemies scream out your name as their very life is drained away by your swarms of Aceton Assimilators. They complain to the devs of your OPness when you revive yourself from death every time you die. Do you show any form of mercy? No. After all, this isn't the United Federation of Planets, this is mother frakkin' Starfleet, where you explore strange new worlds and kick butt never kicked before. Oh, and you realize that I just wrote another speech rivaling your own signature. Cool. Oh, wait, that's just the original draft, it is part of my signature now. Oh, and yes, I am aware that I have become a Canadian Regent; one day, sooner than you'd expect, we'll suddenly decide to take over the world and declare an "alliance", and I shall become it's Regent. You know, like the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance in the mirror universe of our beloved Star Trek. Oh, who'll we be taking over with? I dunno, maybe [REDACTED], or maybe aliens from outer space. Guess you'll have to wait and find out, won't we? Until then, don't ask too many questions, or else my Breen allies on Titania might pick up on your -- [REDACTED BY BREEN CONFEDERACY FOR REASONS] Also, psst... keep an eye out for flying Tribbles! Also walls. Big, great walls, separating entire continents apart. Walls patrolled by Tribbles. Flying Tribbles. Flying Nukara Tribbles. Don't worry, it's not like they were on Venus with a herd of Tholians or anything, they just like the extreme heat and brutal weather like acid rain and hurricane force winds as the norm. Oh, and definitely keep your eye out on any two-tailed foxes, because if they ain't glowing, they're definitely an imposter. Possibly an Undine, we caught one of those once in my place once. Oh, and if you find a two-tailed fox that doesn't like the cold... most certainly ask him to say sorry. If he refuses, DESTROY HIM WITH A DOOMSDAY MACHINE, BECAUSE THERE'S NOTHING ELSE THAT WOULD BE ENOUGH AGAINST SUCH AN OVERPOWERED IMPOSTER!

tr;dr, I am winning last post wins 3.0. Thank you for your time.

The only problem with the USS Galactica is that the Borg always seem to know where to find her - and they've got agents whose implants are hidden, so they look like normal humans now...

I would hope this ship would have a proper bridge and then what BSG called it's command center would actually be the ship's Operations department or CDC (Combat Direction Center)

I hope that this ship's proper bridge is buried deep in the structure, not sitting up on top of the saucer where any yahoo with an amped-up slingshot can blow it off. It's not like they're sitting there looking out an actual physical window or something.

Oh, and the command center in BSG was called the CIC, or Combat Information Center, much like the command structure in a modern aircraft carrier.

The thing about ships is that it can be controlled from more than one spot. So when a ship goes to battle...the bridge is manned and so is Secondary Conn (think of it like a battle bridge) and Aft Steering. Any one of those spots can take command and run the ship if the bridge is taken out.

On the Aircraft Carrier I was stationed on we called it CDC....and in my time in the US Navy I was on three ships and all three had different names for it...CDC, Combat and Ops

Interesting, it looks recognisable both as a Federation starship and as a Battlestar...

Makes me wonder what a mash-up of a starship and an Earth Alliance 'Omega'-class Destroyer from "Babylon 5" would look like - especially considering that starships have artificial gravity and an Omega-class Destroyer uses a rotating section to produce gravity...

Nah, Rattler, Victory-class would be too easy - ovaloid saucer split with a lance array in the middle, neck leading to engineering hull and pylons out to 'cannons', three nacelles next to the hull alternating with the pylons. That's part of why I want to see what an Omega-conversion would look like, the Earthforce and Starfleet design schools are so different...

Omega wouldnt translate well because of the flywheel grav deck.... now the Warlock, Hyperion, or Nova... those would work a bit better imo.

as for the USS Galactica.... Ya shouldnt shame the USS Jupiter like that

Well, design-wise, the rotating section is the biggest difference between Nova and Omega, so I could go with the Nova - it's the forward section that I really want to see how it would look...

Thematically I'd say some kind of tac carrier with an engi slanting, it is a battlestar after all.
      boffs:
      cmdr tac
      lt.cmdr engi
      lt.cmdr tac
      lt. sci
ensign engi (uni on fleet version)

      consoles (fleet level):
      5 engi
      4 tac
      2 sci
      Non fleet with 4/4/2.

As for the rest, not so sure. Shield mod of 1.0 for normal and 1.1 for fleet, hull somewhere in the realm of the command crusiers, turn rate & inertia somewhere near the ody's and the really hard thing would be the number of hangar bays & weapons.
      2 bays & 4/3 or 1 bay & 4/4, though 2 bays would fit better I guess.

edit: goddammit, I just realized that I described a T6 jem dread. :p

Wow, nice to my ship again! Definitely a surprise. I'm humbled that people are enjoying it. I started designing this ship years ago for fun and never finished. This was still what I consider a rough draft. For fun, here are some of the other things I was working on with this project...

To be honest, I think it'd be a little better off with a higher ranking engineering boff and less tactical. For instance:

      Boffs:
      Lt. Cmdr Tactical
      Lt. Tactical
      Cmdr Engineering
      Lt. Science
      Lt. Universal

Just a personal preference, but considered the ship's size, it'd make sense to have a large engineering capacity.

As for the Battlestar Pegasus, please finish and share! I'd love to see it!

Also, has anyone considered fusing Cylon Ships with other Star Trek race's designs? 8472 Basestars, for instance?

I dunno... It lacks a bit the characteristics I expect from the Galactica. I guess I know where you're going with the Firing Solutions, but it doesn'T seem to bring the real feel of the Galactica's defense fire.
I probably wouldn't make the ship a fully fledged Spec ship, either.

      So, here is my take...

      Galactica Class Battle Carrier
      • Bridge Officer Seating
        • Commander Engineering
        • Lt.Cmdr Tactical
        • Lt.Science
        • Lt.Universal|Command
        • Lt.Engineering
      • Hangar Bays: 2 (Can Carry Viper Assault Fighter or Raptor Reconnaissance Shuttles)
      • Consoles: 4 Engineering, 2 Science, 4 Tactical
      • Weapons: 4 Front, 3 Aft. Can carry dual cannons.
      • Turn Rate: 8
      • Shield Modifier: 0.9
      • Special Console: Colonial Defense Batteries
        • Grants a passive buff to hull resistance
        • Allows activation of Cover Fire. Has 6 charges. Regain one charge every 20 seconds. Activating Cover Fire costs one charge and grants a selected allied target an additional 50 % chance to be missed as incoming weapon fire is intercepted. This effect lasts for 10 seconds. In addition, each enemy, heavy projectile or mine within 10km that is attacking the target is subject to the cover fire, taking kinetic damage with 50 % shield penetration. Pets take double damage.
      • Starship Mastery Trait: Combat Air Patrols - When taking damage, immediately launch 2 Mark VII Viper Shuttle Craft and one Standard Raptor Shuttle Craft. Can occur only once every 45 seconds.

      Pegasus Class Carrier Dreadnought
      • Bridge Officer Seating
        • Commander Tactical
        • Lt.Cmdr Engineering
        • Lt.Science
        • Lt.Universal|Command
        • Lt.Engineering
      • Hangar Bays: 2 (Can Carry Viper Assault Shuttles or Raptor Reconnaissance Shuttles)
      • Consoles: 4 Engineering, 2 Science, 4 Tactical
      • Weapons: 4 Front, 4 Aft. Can carry dual cannons.
      • Turn Rate: 7
      • Shield Modifier: 0.9
      • Special Console: Colonial Heavy Cannons
        • Grants a passive damage buff to torpedo damage.
        • Allows activation of Heavy Kinetic Cannons. Fires off several heavy kinetic damage shots that inflciht considerable kinetic damage, ignoring shields.
      • Starship Mastery Trait: Expanded Hangar Bays - When activating Hangar Bays to launch any hangar pet, you launch three additional Mark VIII Vipers. This effect can occur only once every 2 minutes. These pets do not count against your usual maximum of pets active per hangar bay, but you cannot have more than 6 active from this ability.

      Basestar Class Carrier
      • Bridge Officer Seating
        • Commander Science
        • Lt.Cmdr Tactical
        • Lt.Cmdr Engineering
        • Lt.Universal|Intel
        • Ensign Science
      • Hangar Bays: 2 (Can Carry Raider or Heavy Raider Shuttles. Same stats as Vipers and Raptors.)
      • Consoles: 4 Engineering, 2 Science, 4 Tactical
      • Weapons: 3 Front, 3 Aft
      • Turn Rate: 10
      • Shield Modifier: 0.9
      • Special Console: Hybrid Transwarp Computer
        • Grants a passive buff to recharge rate of Transwarp and full impulse speed.
        • Allows activation of Tactical Transwarp. Device can hold up to 6 charges. Regenerate 1 charge per 20 seconds. When activating, you jump forward 3 km, and can reuse the ability in the next 5 minutes.
      • Starship Mastery Trait: Cylone Missile Massacre - When firing a torpedo, you fire a second torpedo for the same base type immediately after. This ability cannot activate more than once every 10 seconds.

The Colonial Heritage Set consists of the Cyclonic Transwarp Engine, the Heavy Kinetic Cannon and the Defense Batteries Universal Consoles.
      • 2 Piece Set Bonus: Colonial Technology
You gain a bonus to kinetic and radiation damage.
      • 3 Piece set Bonus: Nuclear Launch Codes
2 Minute Cooldown. Fire a nuclear missile at target. The missile inflicts heavy kinetic and radiation in a 5 km radius, and leaves behind a lingering radiation cloud that inflicts additional radiation damage for the next 15 seconds.

      Hanger Pets

      Vipers
Viper Shuttle Craft launch into groups of three, and you can maintain 6 shuttles per bay.
Viper Shuttle Craft Mark II (Advanced Viper Shuttle Craft):
      1. Weapons: 2 Phaser Cannons.
      2. Abilities: Lock Trajectory I, Cannon Rapid Fire I

Viper Shuttle Craft Mark VII (Elite Viper Shuttle Craft)
      1. Weapons: 3 Phaser Cannons, 1 Photon Torpedo Launcher.
      2. Abilities: Lock Trajectory II, Cannon Rapid Fire II, Evasive Maneuvers I

Raptor Shuttle Craft launch into groups of two , and you can maintain up to 4 Raptors per bay.

Raptor ECM Shuttle Craft (Standard Raptor Recon Shuttle Craft):
      1. Weapons: Special, see Boarding Shuttle.
      2. Abilities: Concentrate Firepower I, Sensor Scan I. Scramble Sensors I, Lock Trajectory I
      3. Boarding Shuttle: A Raptor attempts to board an enemy ship and send over a boarding party. The boarding party is tasked with sabotaging the enemy ship, causing periodic kinetic damage and disabling a random subsystem.

Raptor Tactical Shuttle Craft (Advanced Raptor Recon Shuttle Craft):
      1. Weapons: 1 Phaser Turret, 2 Photon Torpedo Launchers
      2. Abilities: Concentrate Firepower II, Sensor Scan II, Scramble Sensors II, Lock Trajectory II
      3. Boarding Shuttle: A Raptor attempts to board an enemy ship and send over a boarding party. The boarding party is tasked with sabotaging the enemy ship, causing periodic kinetic damage and disabling a random subsystem.

Raptor Strategic Shuttle Craft (Elite Raptor Recon Shuttle Craft):
      1. Weapons: 1 Phaser Turret, 2 Quantum Torpedo Launchers, plus Boarding Shuttle
      2. Abilities: Concentrate Fire Power III, Sensor Scan III, Scramble Sensors III, Lock Trajectory III
      3. Boarding Shuttle: A Raptor attempts to board an enemy ship and send over a boarding party. The boarding party is tasked with sabotaging the enemy ship, causing periodic kinetic damage and disabling a random subsystem.

Maybe it would be a Vulcan ship? At least the ENT era Vulcans used those warp rings...

Nice idea. Nice design. Well done!. The new BSG was and remains one of my favorite scifi shows. To the point where a fellow usernamed KSG733 and myself made a pair of BSG mods for the old Armada II Star Trek game. They were available on an Aussie website called Majestic Sci Fi Central. I've no idea if the site is still up or if the mods are even still available. Sadly, I failed to keep a copy of the mods. Shame on me for not valuing my own work enough.

We used Coxxon's meshes and skins as a start point and went on from there. it was really fun to have the Bucket and Vipers in the Star Trek universe.

The only critique I have of the design is it looks too new. Galactica was a forty year old relic who had seen some hard campaigning and suffered from being neglected in the rush to modernize the Colonial Fleet. Option 3 or 4 of the Fed ship skins in STO would probably solve my critique nicely though.
