Daily or hourly reset for omega quest?

in Star Trek Online General Discussion
my first one directed me to rura penthe, oh woops no omegas
dropped, re-took twice, gave me other places but also DS9 ground, oh woops no omegas
dropped, been re-taking since, no reset to get a different slew of places. whats the reset timer?

    20 hours as is always the case. You should know better by now!

    I've tried multiple times on Fed and Fed-'aligned' toons to drop and retake the mission, but always the same ones including bugged Ds9 showed up.

    I was going to try KDF but then realized there's bugged locations there too, so just gave up. Hopefully tomorrow's patch fixes it.

    My goodness why is ds9 without ground omegas. I recall in the past you did a mission and it was there. Now that mission was removed with the new mirror update what will we do.

    Try going some place else. I completed the Quest by entering an area other than what was listed, like the Romulan flotilla and K7. The Omega Particles will still show up, even if that is not where you are told to find them.

    This is getting annoying. Last night, did it with my Gorn charactor all 3 but then with my Romulan charactor it was Starbase 39 and this morning Bajor ground. Does Cryptic actually check for bugs before putting it up?

    you think this is the worst? lol.... Last year one of the locations where you had to scan particles was accidentally placed in a MISSION map. :p Yeah, it was one of the Bajoran ones. Bajor space I think.

    Certainly not 20.
    I would be guessing 4. I didn't have time to check thoroughly, but I was able to get three different sets yesterday, so it's definitely less than 20.

    so far Andor ground, SB39 Ground DS9 ground are no go. Someone said Ruara Penthe ground also broken

    There should be a patch incoming anytime now since there's an emergency maint going on.
    Now a LTS and loving it.
    Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
    I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D

    It's 20 for the Quest. You can't run the mission again as it has a countdown timer. You can still collect particles though after.

    you should have held on to the mission, due to the way the cooldown timer works I.E. 20hrs from taking the mission instead of 20hrs from finishing the mission, I was just able to finish last nights mission and can take it again in about 1hr. happy days. :)

    When I think about everything we've been through together,

    maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,

     and if that journey takes a little longer,

    so we can do something we all believe in,

     I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.

    I'd say it is somewhat between 4-6 hrs for a new set of locations - most likely 4 hrs.
