    I actually wanted a release of the Eagles Hell freezes over tour recorded by Shatner....but APPARENTLY I'm being out voted on that sort of thing.

    Indeed. Given that it was made by a Star Wars fan who doesn't understand Star Trek, JJ Trek could have been much worse.

    That doesn't mean it's good though.

    I think you got that the wrong way round. JJ was a Trek fan, not a Wars fan. Thats why he initially rejected the idea of directing episode VII. But i guess he couldnt argue with THAT much money :)
