With the STO announcement of the reward ship being a Tier 6 Krenim Science Ship; how many of our listeners are planning on getting it and actually using it at least on a semi regular basis?

Right upfront... Woody, I'm afraid you're probably gonna be disappointed again.
P1 interview with ZeroniusRex and Salami_Inferno:
- Metrics are (compared to other Cryptic titles and even industry standards) eerily stable. Sometimes login numbers for one day are within 100 of the login numbers from that day the year before. There are ups and downs, but in general the numbers (login, player participation, revenue) are extremely stable, which makes everything very predictable.
Well, let's see if they use the 50th anniversary to try and get some more people into the game... At least that's what I would do...
- They were very happy with Midnight. Usually one content designer and one artist work on an episode, but since Midnight was the big finale to the first five years, they had two designers and two artists working on that episode.
You know what I thought about Midnight. I'm really not sure what to make of this... I mean, two people and there were still so many inconsistencies/plot problems?
- The "Future Proof" story arc should come to its conclusion late summer/early fall.
I have a bad feeling about this...
- They have been in talks with CBS about the new TV series.
Well, of course. I would be more surprised if they had not talked to CBS about the new TV... uhm... series or if they had been able to confirm/deny anything about these talks right now...
- The Delta Recruit event was very popular and very good for the game. It will come around again, but no timeframe given.
What a surprise. I mean, that's not news. A timeframe would be news. This is what has been said before. Move along, nothing to see.
- If they should get to a point where there are "too many" reputations, they might stop doing new ones and come up with another progression system alongside the existing reputations.
Have you ever seen how many reputations exist in WoW? I honestly don't see the problem here. STO is probably one of the if not THE most casual game I have ever played.
- Will there be a FE rerun event? Yes, there is a FE rerun scheduled. Again, no timeframe given.
I really don't get what is taking them so long here...
- Skill tree revamp still planned. Scheduled for season... they are not telling which one.
- Question by sisteric about improving the gateway: Cryptic would have to invest time/money/manpower, so... it's not gonna happen.
See, sunseahl? "Perfect Peony" does not change anything.
- New veteran rewards beyond 1000 days? They might improve on existing rewards (like the addition of the T6 veteran ship), but they don't plan to go beyond 1000 days.
Mmh... The problem I see here is... the subscription itself feels less "mandatory"/"rewarding" compared to many other F2P games. Which is good for the F2P players. But the subscribers... they only really get the full value if they reach one of the veteran milestones. Those can be really rewarding, but I'm not sure whether you can/should/would factor them in when you just look at "Should I subscribe or just buy something from the store?"
I guess what I'm trying to say is, how do you improve subscription benefits without going overboard when the veteran rewards kick in? Should you even make subscriptions more appealing or just push for more/better veteran rewards? What's the right balance here?
RP blog "Preemptive planning":
Okay, after outing Commander Nereda as a Cardassian, now some new crewmember called Lieutenant Rikali is identified as a Ferasan.
But let's see what's happening here. Okay, I like the writing. It draws me in. I want to keep reading. The Na'kuhl wage this temporal war but it seems like they have not been that thorough with their research... I'm not sure whether I like that part or not. Let's keep going...
Famous/infamous starship... Okay, an Enterprise for sure. Oh no... oh please no... No no no no no! Not the original one. Not Kirk. KIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRRRRRRKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!! *shakes his fist*
LaughingTrendy's "global" initiative:
Remember when you had Trendy on the show and did that interview and she mentioned something about trying something more global and trying to make sure people don't think STO is just about the US?
I know something you probably don't. Because I got an E-Mail by Perfect World to participate in a survey. Every participant would get some free stuff. (An orange something cat and 5 spec points in STO, some other pet in Neverwinter and I don't even care about the other two codes for... does anyone here know these games? PWI and Forsaken World?)
What was the survey about? Well, whether or not I was using the localized STO forums, why I wasn't using them (I'm here, ain't I?) and what could be done to get me to use them.
And I can tell you right now, my main problem with localized forums exists in every MMO I have ever played. The respective US forums are just "closer to the source". You want dev interaction? Only on the US forums. You want correct information? US forums.
I mean, there were moments when even the WoW localization team messed up badly. Rule #1: You don't translate literally, you need to translate by looking at/understanding the context first!
Mav:
Well, you tweeted about him and guess who retweeted? Aron Eisenberg! That's the spirit! And it looks like there were 4 donations after your tweet and his retweet. So... I'm not saying there's a causal link, but that would be great, wouldn't it?
Community question:
Well, as I'm writing this, I still don't know the stats of the ship, but I can tell you, I will get the ship. I got all the event ships up until now... well, I did miss one day of a giveaway. I think it was a T3 ship that I didn't get because of that. But apart from that I have participated in every event and every giveaway.
So... my romulan (fed) will probably stay in her DSD (for the time being), because it's a romulan ship. My Fed captain... I want him in a Fed ship but I'm not sure which one he's gonna end up in. Maybe the Nebula although that is a brick of a ship.
The only one that does not quite get a "fitting" ship is the Orion. I mean, there are no Orion science vessels and she's not wearing a klingon uniform, but the typical Orion outfit. So neither a klingon nor the gorn science vessel would be thematically appropriate. I guess she's gonna be flying around in either the Breen carrier or the Krenim science vessel depending on the stats, the situation and which playstyle I end up preferring.
PS: Sorry, that I seem to be your only listener. I mean, Cybyl, where are you?
"Sister Ric" is sad that they will not be doing anything with Gateway. That was one of the features they had that I brought me into the game more.
I, too, will be getting the ship. I have gotten every ship from the anniversary and events. I accidentally deleted my Oddy on my one toon, and Cryptic said they could not recover it for me. Which really sucks, but what else can I do. This ship will probably become my KDF SCI ship. I don't have a tier 6 SCI ship for the KDF yet....
What really is making me sad is that I don't have a good tier 6 sci ship for my rom yet. But I will find something...
KDF: Dahar Master Kan (Borg Klingon Tactical)::Dahar Master Torc (Alien Science)::Dahar Master Sisteric (Gorn Engineer)
RR-Fed: Citizen Sirroc (Romulan Science)::Fleet Admiral Grell (Alien Engineer)
RR-KDF: Fleet Admiral Zemo (Reman Tactical)::Fleet Admiral Xinatek (Reman Science)::Fleet Admiral Bel (Alien Engineer)
TOS-Fed: Fleet Admiral Katem (Andorian Tactical)::Lieutenant Commander Straad (Vulcan Engineer)
Dom-Fed: Dan'Tar (Jem'Hadar Science)
Dom-KDF: Kamtana'Solan (Jem'Hadar Science)
CoHost of Tribbles in Ecstasy (Zombee)
Since I am quite partial to playing Romulans, I still don't have a Romulan science officer yet. No native Romulan T6 Sci ship so far to motivate me to create a Romulan Science Officer. I shall still possibly get this ship.
I have ONE token, Federation Vulcan character who is a science captain. Am using the T6 Ferengi Nandi from the Summer event as a Sci ship for now. I probably will get the Krenim ship for this officer as well simply for variety.
However, the main reason is for the additional bonus this ship provides in extra options and flexibility in the Admiralty daily missions.
I believe that Sunseahl was seeking info as to who is actually listening to Tribbles in Ecstasy. Consider me a 'listener' and add my data point to the show's metrics. STO needs metrics too.
