ATTENTION MAC USERS: Please test 01/20 Tribble patch!

I just tried to patch into Tribble, to take a peek at the new Defiant 3-piece set... and I got a very strange error message right after hitting the ENGAGE button on the launcher. In other words, it crashed upon launch.

Anyone else getting this? It would be a TERRIBLE time for the Mac client to go down... :-/

Here is the error message:

Exception raised
Unimplemented function NTDLL.dll.Rtl.GetVersion called at address 0x01646ae8.

I can't get it to work on my new IMAC at all... installed it and every time I try to launch it says something about a messed up file and it crashes.

    To update:

I had a number of Mac users on Reddit confirm the same issue. One of the devs (FlyingTarg) replied to me on Reddit. The devs are already looking into it.

Yes, this is definitely good news... BUT, this doesn't mean we won't have a rocky start to the Anniversary on the Mac side. :worried:

Here's hoping they can find the issue and get a fix in by next Thursday!

Looks like someone left some Windows code in the OSX program. Basically trying to find out what version of Windows the program running on.

I was able to log in normally on my 2008 24" iMac last night. I have to play it on low to medium settings, and the framerate isn't that great in certain areas, but at least it's still playable and it's not freezing up and needing to be re-started like it was before this last patch (fingers crossed on that one, that it'll continue to hold up and work OK).

    Were you logging into Tribble?

No, I was just logging into Holodeck. I've yet to try it on Tribble. Maybe I'll try that tonight when I get home, if I have time.
