Unable to customize assault cruiser sovereign class

Hello everyone,
I just ranked 40 and used my token for a sovereign assault cruiser. But I've find I can't customize anything: color, patterns, models, interiors, nothing. I can see how it would look, but as soon as I select the change, it goes back to default (which is, sovereign). If I go on and purchase, it will tell me "outfit uses invalid parts". Sometimes when I come back to customizer it shows me some change, but it's fake - as if I go in space it's still default.
Tried and rename ship, as read in some forums, but no change.
I have a runabout and customizing works perfectly on that.

Any tip?

    It's a bug that was introduced in the last patch. If I understand correctly, it will be fixed this week during the next patch.

    Someone in zone chat said that if you change your emblem to the Fleet Emblem, then the customization works. I haven't tested it, but something you can try.

    Oh, thanks a lot. So I could try and join a fleet, then set the emblem painting on the ship, is that right?

    I heard in chat that changing the emblem from the Federation one to your Fleet icon will fix it, but I haven't actually tested it.

    The patch is in 2 days, I wouldn't join a fleet just to fix it. If you want to join a fleet anyway, then sure.. but I wouldn't do it just to fix this bug. It will be fixed Thursday Morning anyway.

    Has this ever been fixed or has the bug just resurfaced? I tried to customize my assault cruiser and while it looks normal in the tailor, in space it turns into a fugly looking thing with reflective texture and lots of glowing parts.

    It sounds like you just equipped the Reman Covariant Shield. Open up your character menu and select your starship. Right-click on your shield and choose "Disable Visuals".
