how long do I have to reach 800 days?

    type /played in the chat window, it will tell you how long you been active.

    About 2.2 years ;)

    You get instant 800 day veteran status if you're LTS. Otherwise you have to have maintained a Gold subscription for that length of time.

    Duh, guess I was still in the mindset of when this game was sub only.

    Go to your Arc account page then manage subscriptions, it gives you a day count that you've been subscribed.

    I think there is actually an Accolade for that.
    Star Trek Online Advancement: You start with lowbie gear, you end with Lobi gear.

    Um.. Two things. First when youlogin once you hit 800 you will automatically get an accolade, second under you char portrait (or above your shield display where your buffs are) when you are NOT in a team, you will have an 800 day veteran buff

    OMG REALLY? So it gives me vetran rewards based off the time my account has existed and not the time I played?

    No, it gives you the rewards based upon the amount of time your account has existed as a PAID account. If you play for free you do not earn anything towards veteran status.​​
