So I just reinstalled my OS back to windows 7. Now STO's GameClient.exe stops working when I launch. I downloaded through steam and all drivers are up to date? Anyone have any fixes?

Ok got it to launch now, but am having a crash when adjusting resolution to 1920 x 108 which is what my monitor is.

If your using an AMD video card, the newly released 'crimson edition drivers' that replace CCC cause GameClient.exe to crash when not using minimum video specs (which includes window resolution), the solution to that is to roll back to the previous AMD drivers.
If your not using an AMD video card with the new drivers, try a Force Verify as the files may be up to date, but may be corrupted, that is if you haven't already tried a Force Verify. Also double check that your video card driver version doesn't have a conflict with STO. (Like the Crimson Edition AMD drivers do) AMD isn't the only company that releases drivers that sometimes doesn't like a video game or two. It could also be an issue with the drivers for your monitor need to be updated.
Since you just changed your OS, it is quite possible the OS change reconfigured something but without more information can't really help. You may find more help in Support section of the Forum.

I've just had this issue too.

Just updated to AMD Crimson and had the client crash on STO.

I loaded the game into safemode, then increased my graphics options 1 by 1 (though I'm not sure I increased the resolution, don't remember doing it but it seemed how I normally have it).

Straight away as soon as I increased AA (antialiaising) it crashed, restarted the game (which was still in safe mode) increased my graphics options again (leaving out AA) and it didn't crash.

Can't try anything now as the STO server update is happening, but when it comes back online Im gonna try messing with AMD's AA to see if that can sort it.

    Anyone have any idea's?
