Seems like so few ships these days feature badges

I do love a nice fancy badge on the side of my ships. Show them who I represent! And yet my main ships these days (Jupiter, Concorde, Mercury) all are missing any kind of badge.

Why is this? Why make a neat feature like putting your fleet's symbol on the side of your ship and then just not bother to use it on all the new ships?

My guess would be that they're farily low-res objects. They were on most of the earlier starships, but you're right that the most recent ones often don't have 'em. But the details they're putting into starships over the last couple of years is getting to incredible levels, so those little decals almost seem out of place.

If anything, I'd like to see the option be fleet logo v. none, rather than fleet logo v. UFP. That UFP decal always looked out of place, plus this would open up fleet decals for KDF and Republic ships too. But they'd need a high-res logo to drop onto the starship hull, so I can see how that'd be a decent amount of work.
