graphics card crash tessalation error

i'm getting a fatal game error on my game dxgi_error_device_removed error code 0x887a00006 after my laptop updated but is anone getting a similar error?

    My laptop (Win 10) recently updated also and I have been getting very frequent crashes, usually when switching maps, but other times just seemingly at random.

    besides the error you get jumpy frame rates in the delta maps i been getting them at random on win 7 and win 10

    I'm also getting the same error code has anyone come up with a fix for it?

    only workaround i came up with is a go into yur control panel and fix and fix errors under security /system settings

    I came in here to report the same problem. I can't get into support to submit a ticket anymore.

    The game will not stop crashing while trying to launch.
    I have an HP Pavilion, Intel J2900, Windows 10.

    my error message is this:
    Fatal Error:Direct3D driver returned error code
    (DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED) while Presenting. Reason:
    0x887a0006(DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG)

    the intel update utility gives me this:
    "A customized comuter manufacturer driver is installed on your computer. The intel update utility is not able to update the driver. Installing a generic intel driver instead of the custom computer manufacturer driver may cause technical issues..blah blah blah"
    So I went to HP and my HP drivers are now all updated, and the problem with STO launching has not gone away at all. I'm sorely tempted to try the generic intel HD graphics driver, but I don't know what that will do.

    These STO launching problems also happend to me last year (also around the time of the winter event) and caused me to give up playing until the "New Dawn" season lauched.

    His methods have become unsound.

    I have a generic HD graphics card so i'm sure it has the basic HD drivers and i still get the error
