Will Feds ever get to be on pair with Rom Tac DPS?

I mean.. i'm in T6 fleet BC but even with my gear i lack the CritH the roms get from pasives, tac officers etc. WOuld you at least consider giving us the option to stack more of the officers up?
Cous to be fair i dont wanna go ALT-ing just for dps sake and not to mention id have to spend another ton of money to get Scimmy and upgrade it and get trait ships i need...
Plz Arc show some love for old timers that want to stay the char they picked. ive been with STO since launch and it seems rly unfair as to make a DPS build id need to swich all i got for a new char :(

    Didn't you know?

    According to romulans, that 40 subsystem power is a huge hit.

    Apparently it's bigger than:
    7.5% critH
    15% critD
    45% dmg bonus that is permanent with a little effort

    Cause losing 15 from shields, 15 from engines, and 10 from and when things like supremacy now exist is such a hard thing to endure.

    That said, cryptic has a trend for each faction:

    KDF = Engi
    Rrf = tac
    Fed = sci

    So basically fed will get those dps boosts just as soon as KDF and rom get more sci.

    I don't see it happening.

    I'm disappointed in the OP, I expected demands for built-in battle cloaks, too.

    Feds may not get as much [crth] as a Rom, but a Fed/Kdf tac can get easily up to a 30% [crth], so not all is lost!!!

    Since the question started 'Will FEDS ever.." we can almost safely say the answer is a definite maybe.

    I will say this, I've said many times that letting Superior Rom Operative stack was a mistake. I think you should be able to have one (1) Superior, one (1) Romulan Operative, one (1) Basic Rom Operative and the Captain version as the maximum.

    Or maybe they should just hardcap CritH and be done with it. ;)

    the phantom and the faeht are virtually identical. The roms are slightly better -- rom can put on valdore and heal 100% shields every few shots if they are dps built, and SRO stacked makes a big differences as well, and quantum absorb makes it a little more durable (about all the singularity is worth these days). So no, the feds won't be quite as good, but the phantom and other ships can flatten anything they touch with a very good dps. The difference between top fed and top rom is much, much, much smaller than the difference between rom sci and fed sci.

    Roms may have ALOT of DPS but my god are there ships paper thin, i think its a reasonable trade of, also what about KDF? if you are going to argue that Fed should have comparable DPS i think you should include KDF, i mean they do still exist contrary to popular cryptic belief

    The rom faction has been designed to have a deeps advantage, the bigger advantage is in players optimising their play and build to hit the greatest heights than it is one faction vs another. I wouldn't worry about what some ocd types can get their scimi to do.

    If you ask the Romulans they'll tell you they INVENTED dps, just like they invented everything else, so probably not.

    So you basically want more power-creep then....*SIGHS*.

    Paper thin? Depends on the ship. They are not eng tanks with no tac consoles like the other factions have, but roms have this console that does a 100% shield heal every few seconds if you do good damage. Its not even necessary to run it, but if you are having trouble, it can solve problems and it absolutely trumps the dumb shield drains that are going around lately.

    I can't tell that my rom ships are any more fragile than any other damage class ship (5 tac console / cmdr tac ships). If they are, its very slight.

    KDF's biggest dps issue (IMHO of course) is they didnt get a strong intel ship. They got a slow clunky cruiser with low tac consoles and a meh destroyer with weak intel seats. THe fleet qib finally gave a half decent option, but it was late to the party and is still slow and clunky. Assuming rom > others is intentional and won't change for dps, kdf and fed dps are close enough if you ignore the phantom.
