Sorry but I don't find his design to be any better

I agree with Khan, I've watched this dudes videos before, and I absolutely hated the ship then and I certainly do now. It looks like a constitution on steroids. I believe the design for carrier is hideous, but it's just as worse.
I've always liked this guy's spirit, in trying to do a better design. The problem is that his design is stylistically antiquated, by today's standards. It has the style of a late 80s to early 90s car (in other words, ugly box) and a step backwards from the more organic design of the Enterprise D and E.
In game and canon terms, that design is more in line with a starship designed in the late 23rd to early 24th century, rather than 25th century.

Its a nice design, I can see why Majel Barret had it added to the archives. Would love to see STO pick up this design for the game.

Why does the deflector dish look like a horses TRIBBLE while taking a dump?
Why do you stare at horses backsides often enough to make that kind of connection?

The only good thing I can say about Jupiter 2.0 is that it's much better looking than Jupiter 1.0. But both still went for the same thing: a very large hull and puny little nacelles.
If I was an artist, I would've spent some time coming up with a design to fit the Federations overall theme while making it this nice massive carrier with 4 hangars, 2 on each side to show that it really is a carrier. Or hollow out the center of the ship for one big hangar. I would also integrate the nacelles into the ship rather than putting them on pylons, something like how the nacelles are almost part of the ship on the Dervish or Oracle.

And that's the thrill of the fight.

Guys... some of you're totally missing my point. I'm not talking about his ship. I'm talking the concepts designing a beautiful and eyes pleasing starship. For example, the balance of the narcels and the saucer section. For example, the sideview of the ship well designed but not the top view. It got the same sideview as the Sovereign class which would look much better if it had a neck. Imo, the Sovereign class is one of the best looking ship in star trek. All the t6 fed and kdf ships are so ugly that I dont want to fly any of them tbh. They r basically the ugly version of their t5 counter parts. So far, I only bought n flew rom t6 ships.
sry but this design is not my cup of tea. its antiquated. but a nice design as addition for the contemporary tos/tmp timeline.
but so are cryptics designs for the 25th century. i find most of them very "fitting", though i was always unhappy, cause some of the concepts had better overall features. (like the pilot ship concepts, i found them all better than the "normalised" result. they had better overall underlying design concepts, like the one pilot concept that was like a flattened deltaflyer shape - the normalised variant now is somehow mirrored underside and upper side, somehow very different from the well designed concepts)

Yeah, I would love to see some variety into the ships. Ships with more than 2 hangars, weapons that are so powerful and different they need more than one weapon slot, etc..
About the Jupiter.. Too bad its not an alien cross faction ship. I was hoping the new carrier wouldnt belong to any of the factions, the alien ships are much prettier than any Fed, Romulan or Klingon ships.
I know this is Star Trek online but its kinda boring the faction ships are so, so, soooo much restricted to their 40 years old themes, when Stark Trek was created.. All Fed ships are just identical.. a Flying Saucer with 2 tubes. You cant really tell the difference in game, only when you zoom in.

That's not his fault, English names are hard to spell, that's why I like Spanish, you write it the same way you speak it, nearly impossible to make a mistake.
This is a old version I did years ago.. I would say I probably can do it again with a more sleeker look and pro 2411 design to it.
Of course this would be a super cruiser, with 3 part separation. The hull is about the size of a Galaxy ship and the saucer is about 2x the radius of the original saucer.
The bottom part of the saucer could possibly come apart to.

Well, let me rephrase that. It looks like a constitution thats trying too hard to fit in the 25th century, but fails, badly.
