The queuing in this game gets worse and worse. Dead most of the time. How about open door missions with no timers.Anyone can enter but if they leave, they get no prizes or points. Ground single player missions with full away team. No timers, no waiting. straight in to the action.

I've got to agree with markhawkman on this one. It really is a bad idea to make these open missions again. Also @adamkafei makes another valid point. I need not remind people of the recent alterations to the "Optional" objectives in missions such as ISA and others.
to scrap most of the queue missions and
turn them into battle zones and only have
featured queue missions.
For example scrap the fleet pve queues
and apply a battle zone at the fed/kdf
fleet starbase.
Come to think of it, if someone feels their poll question needs explanation/argument, it's probably a bad idea anyway, so even when I vote against a poll on principal, I also am frequently voting what I think.
But here is the thing: that fix should come from players being taught how to perform basic ship operations such as changing power levels, using bridge officer abilities, repairing damage/healing injuries and even stuff as blunt as reversing their ship.
My experience in PUGs has been worse every month, until the point I quitted PUGging altogether and just decided to fly with the fleet whatever the fleet likes. The friendly climate in which you could share your knowledge in PUG matches has long since been buried. I educate my fleet members in any way, shape, size or form I can, but this is where my contribution ends. And as long as people keep treating this game as a single player one, people are not going to be learning to improve themselves.
Back to point of the OP: yes, I'd like single player versions of existing queues, even as drop-in zones. However, these should only be normal, scale to the number of people inside, and not replace the current queues in any way.

Account bound quality boosters for upgrades would be such a thing.

Which would not fix the public queues. There would still be a minimal amount of combat performance every player in said queue would need to be able to demonstrate. Which not every player can show. What we would see would be more queueing up through the private runs, channels and fleets, but not a revive of the public queues.
Like I said above, this would require the general PUG player to improve to the point he does not need somebody to carry him.

Ture but with 15 peeps in ISA as well as 20 in CCA as top non-event queues we have reached a point where I stopped caring who is going to queue up. I just need 4 more to get a match started or there is no game for me left.

People listed as LFT for X specific mission, can be selected from [sort of like the fleet lookup system] with a request to join a team being formed.
Don't get me wrong, the queue system can be fast, but it also can be a pita who it decides to throw you in a group with!

I usually don't post two in a row but decided to come back and reply to this one. There used to be. You used to have to do the optionals for the Borg STF to get accolades that unlocked uniforms/outfit options in the tailor. There was only one way to get them - get every optional in every Borg STF. You also needed to get drops from these missions to get ship/armor set parts. Now you can wait for faceroll events like the current Mirror event and get thousands of marks over a couple of weeks and buy them from the rep store.
I was once very proud of my MACO and Omega sets. Now they mean not much of anything. You can get them doing red alerts in sector space.
Yea I remember those times.
On the one hand they were cool because of an ongoing motivating factor to run queues. On the other they were a bit frustrating because of lucky drops required for gear.
Nevertheless even under current rules something like that would work nicely. I think upgrades remain the one and only never-ending need in this game. Interesting part is that queued contend is also pretty much the only contend that needs them.
I think participating should offer a massive benefit in that department.
