FAW or overload

Putting together a Charel escort with cannons just for the fun of it. Anyway I have one more tac power than I need for my build so I was thinking of slotting a single Duel beam bank and using ether FAW or overload in the spare slot. I know FAW is overall a better power but for a single DBB Would overload be more useful

    Classic pvp build was DHC + DBB with overload to pop shield

    I'd go with whatever matches your cannon abilities, not much point in using overload if your DHCs are using scatter.

    FAW is better but looks stupid, overload is more viscerally satisfying. I love popping targets that get one-shotted with a beam overload that mega crits. It feels badass.

    FAW just looks stupid.

    FAW also drains weapon power like mad unless you compensate for it in some manner. Overload does not. But if you are going to use Overload, you need a DBB with as high a Crit Severity as you can get, which usually means using a [CrtD]x3 Antiproton DBB.

    I use this kind of build for pve with my main rom. And I like this build. Beam overload is very useful against the shields even if most of the mobs have a big amount of shield. And overload is also useful to finish a target, boom crit 75k or more. this is very satisfying, FAW can't give this pleasure.

    currently I use disruptor DHC for the cc set, + a withering disruptor dbb CRTDx3 (free item, I would be stupid not to use this weapon :p)
