Here are just a few things that would be nice to see in the future to do with Lobi and the items you can get.
1. If you have a Lobi ship or item in use on one of your characters, you can buy a bound version on any alt for a discount or for free. This would still make it possible to buy the regular item at full price and sell it if you wanted to.
2. A way to get Lobi that does not require you to open boxes. Like a daily mission that can only be done once per day, per account. Maybe a daily log in reward system. Like give one lobi for being online for the first hour, or maybe five for Veterans and Gold members.
Also make them all perks for being a Veteran or Gold member.
Just a few thoughts that may make the game more fun! It will also give everyone a reason to sub or life up!

Oh, but to repackage any ship though...

What if we could just buy the lobi? Maybe add lobi as a c-store commodity? Just throwing it out there don't know if it is a good idea or not.
I probably will end up doing a combination of spending and grinding to get the lobi to buy the ship or the ship itself. From what I have read in the past threads alot of folks seem to lean on using the exchange instead of accumulating lobi because it is actually cheaper to do so. If that's the case then it comes down to how much energy credits you can get. Now from what I have gathered what's common knowledge to the public is the lockbox keys but I have heard or at least it has been insinuated in quite a few threads that selling the keys isn't the only way to get energy credits and that there are more easier and faster ways to get it with a huge payoff. If there is a way of course no one isn't talking and probably the only way I would get an answer is through a PM or talking to some knowledgeable fleet mates (I hope).
I will admit I wish I could claim duplicates of the lobi/box ships I've unlocked on my account over the years. however in practice this would never work. there's a couple of problems you have.
First is that lockbox ships and lockboxes are a bread/butter thing. they generate a good chunk of cash for the game and they're not about to just let that slip away. one of the ways they pay for the game and keep it going is through cash with lockboxes.
Second is in the same camp as the first really but not entirely. they already do lobi events from time to time where you can earn so many crystals per account per day from doing some kind of quest/mission. sometimes as high as 20 crystals. that's a pretty good chunk of lobi given in one go for free. Lobi is what is given with every lockbox barring the exception of pulling a Vonph or similar item. Lobi is meant to be the consolation prize of not getting the prize ship such as the Quas in this case. Again they're not going to decouple this from lockboxes because again, boxes are a huge money maker.
Also we absolutely do not need log in rewards that give anything beyond an acolade or something like that. When you start giving out physical rewards for logging in such as say a stack of weapons batteries being one example, then it's not going to be long before people start wanting more because that's not enough. Log in rewards encourage laziness and entitlement. after the batteries it'll be a cheap weapon, then after the cheap weapon it'll be an epic weapon, after the epic weapon it'll be full on ships, and then eventually full loaded epic quality geared ships. Yes that was done in extremes for the example but I've seen it happen in other games. When you make things too easy or give out rewards for nothing then you do nothing but degrade the playerbase of your game.
In fact in WoWs case they made some of the missions over there far too easy for too long and on of the devs eventually had to come out and say, get better or don't go. There are ways to get lobi ships, keys, ec and so on. I will agree some things are far far overpriced in this game, but beyond those everything else is good.
