Usually the rep weapons you get from the boxes are of varyingl usefulness, but through coincidence I discovered that the withering photon torpedoes form the Terran rep actually work quite well since they apply shield bypassing radiation damage.
Which skills do work in favour of those weapons? Is it exotic damage or is there something else going on for "radiation damage"?

I'm sure your DPS is great, but as Kahless said, "a petaQ with high system mastery is still a petaQ." (Well, he should have said it...!)
And there is a 33% chance to apply a stack of Withering Radiation with the rep. torpedo, and the other non-rep. torpedoes I believe.
