Research Lab Development T3 is NOT unlocking Krenim BOFFs!

Our small fleet finally managed to get our Research Lab Development up to T3 for the Krenim BOFFs.

Much to our dismay, we find out that the NPC is still locked, and is claiming that the RESEARCH sub-holding needs to be T3 to acquire these BOFFs - which is clearly not what the holdings descriptions says.

This is a HUGE DEAL. Due to this "error" in either the description or the game code, our fleet (and I imagine countless other fleets) has been misled into leveling the incorrect sub-holding. It is now going to take us at least an entire extra month, hundreds of thousands of dilithium and other materials, plus the associated grind to unlock the "correct" branch to get these BOFFs.

To make matters worse, I did some research (lol?) into this issue, and apparently this "bug" has been in the game for several months. That's...mind blowing.

Needless to say our fleet is NOT happy.

My original thread posted in General Discussion.

The bughunters have already noted this bug. Once you have research (instead of development) unlocked, boffs will be available.

Well, yeah, NOW we know that...

The problem with that is, that we would not have wasted several weeks and hundreds of thousands of dilithium, fleet marks, etc., if we knew that we were leveling the "wrong" sub-holding. There is no way to know that it's not the right one. The game tells you it is the right one. Only when you have finally managed to grind all the way to T3 Development and go to buy the BOFFs are you slapped in the face with this "bug," and nobody in our fleet knew about it beforehand. Why would we?

It's easy to say "just go unlock the 'correct' one," but for a small fleet, that is quite a time-sink (and very costly) to have to go back and do because "bugs."

Also, the mere fact that this issue has apparently persisted for several months now, does not give me the confidence to just sit back and wait for a fix, either.

    Hey Guys!

So this bug has been a particularly knarly bug. So I'm gonna give a little history to help clear up the confusion.
    • The Boffs are Intended to unlock with Tier 3 Development Track. There was a Bug that reversed them.
    • Now us Bugbashers Reported this to Borticus and he Fixed it. Now here is where it go problematic.
    • The Fix went to Tribble during the S11 Prep, where it then functioned correctly. (used Development Provisions)
    • Then the Line noting it was fixed was accidentially added to the Holodeck Notes, and people thought it was fixed when it wasn't.
    • Now this should have gone out with S11, and I personally tested on tribble and it worked before launch.
    • It's obviously is not working on Holodeck.
    • It is, however Working Internally,

There is a Baseline Patch going to Holodeck next week, and Borticus has asked that we check tribble over the next couple patches to see if it gets fixed.

Has it been fixed or not?
    I took this screenshot today:

I am really confused, which field was supposed to unlock the BOFFs?

And I am also really annoyed I was misled to believe they were available.
If the tooltip is wrong, fix it!!!! :#
