I liked doing the Foundry missions to get new gear and EC for my Alts.
What can we do now to get those things while we are waiting for them to fix the Foundry?

I've played several of those. Sorry that I have taste and you don't. It's all amateur rubbish. People pretending they can write when they really just stink at it. They need to go back to their day jobs.
Most of them are mediocre but I've found a few that were outright offensive.

What, you mean that USER Generated Content isn't living up to a professional standard? The horror! Next you'll tell me that little league hockey teams really can't cut it in the NHL. Still, that shouldn't stop them from enjoying what they do. You're not obligated to watch, but heckling the tykes is the epitome of bad form.
Possibly. I'll stand as a relatively neutral third party on this one because while I am now a "Foundry Author" none of my missions made it to that list so I also have "indignant outrage!" to play off from.
That list is a pretty thorough sampling of perhaps older (the Iconian War anthology doesn't appear to be included either), higher-quality foundry content. Of course not all of them are spotlight quality but its nothing to scoff at without turning into that guy (who mocks a children's soccer/football match for not having enough contact). If you're new to the system (and are finished with the easily viewable top missions and foundry spotlight) then its not a bad place to randomly select from. That said, there aren't many at all I've found in sector block top 3's which I regretted spending time with so just flying around and seeing what's out there (you know, like exploration) isn't a bad way of getting into foundry missions either.
