Was enemy damage increased?

Played some STF's and Terran badlands. I noticed my ships took more damage than usual. Died a few times. I rarely die even on ELITE.

    Just noticed that on a Tholian Red Alert, but that may have been related to Entering and Respawning within gun range of the Capital Fleet.

    I wonder if the threat mechanics has been changed somehow as well.

    I've not had much trouble in Badlands gameplay, but the last ISA was a disaster. I'm sure those ships were hitting harder than normal, and for some reason every sphere was gunning for me even though I never did anything to aggro them.

    Were you spamming BFAW? Were the other people on your team doing low DPS? Well... aggro.

    There Are Many Actual Facts To Consider Than Just Your "Feelings."

    Perhaps. It'd be the first time it happened to me post DR if I were doing more DPS than anyone else, so I suppose that PUG was doomed to fail from the start.

    I'm still not sure how firing on a single target would cause every ship in the place to come after me. And carry on coming after me after dying and respawning.

    Meanwhile I have another captain who is capable of far more spike damage but never seems to attract any threat at all. Makes no sense.

    Are you using Embassy Threat Reduction Consoles? Because if everyone but you is that would automatically make you the main target.

    Nothing any different with NPC damage.

    If you're fighting lots of Terran Empire NPC ships, they do several things to get at your hull that most other NPCs don't do in this game. Cryptic also changed how they fought. Stuff from general observations without parsing:

    TBR - First and foremost and the oldest, most common, "big ability" of Terran Empire ships. For most parts they are the only NPCs that use TBR. If you look up the ability in your skill library, a bunch of its damage bypasses shields for Kinetic damage to the hull. Science Vessels and their larger Cruisers are quite fond of using TBR. You got no Kinetic resists? Unless you've got Polarize Hull running to make you immune to tractors, period, you're going to eat a lot of damage to the hull.
    ====
    Shield Knockouts - Terran Empire is quite fond of knocking out shields, even if for a very small window. Again, I've parsed nothing against them. If a subsystem goes out against them, I noticed it's always shields. My guess? "Target Subsystem Shields" is being used. If you have high Subsystem Repair the window of vulnerability is smaller. But if you have a dozen ships shooting at you, your shields dropping just for a second or two is enough to land heavy blows in from all those enemies. Some other reasons why it's "Target Subsystem" and not these other suspects?

    - Viral Matrix - Makes a very distinct, electronic, garbling noise. If you've played against lots of Heralds and you ever had those Probes disable your subsystems? It's the same ability, same sound effect. It affects different subsystems to shutdown but NEVER shields, not after Cryptic nerfed that years ago.

    - Phaser Proc - Phasers can indeed KO Shield Subsystem Power. But it's not a guaranteed effect. Phaser Proc randomly picks between the subsystems to temporarily shutdown. What's happening in battle is almost always Shields getting shutdown.
    ====
    Tachyon Beam - Old Terran Empire Science Vessels used to do Tachyon Beam. I haven't really noticed that being used.
    ====
    Terran Empire uses Vestas. Best be familiar with those console abilities.
    ====
    Point Defense Console - Certain Escorts, namely Akira types and Prometheus types, are fond of using this ability. If you're in close range, this can hurt pretty bad.
    ====

    These are the ones that jump out to me. Maybe there's a few more things but these are the most common that I was able to observe in combat.

    Terran Empire ships with S11 do far more than the last time we've really seen them with the Mirror Invasion mini-event.
