cant equip console

That might be a stupid question, but i couldnt find anything about it:
Why cant i fit a Console - Science - Exotic Particle Field Exciter or Console - Engineering - Conductive RCS Accelerator to my ship,
even tho i meet the requirnments from the tooltip, and obviously dont have one equipped allready?

    What's your character level and what slot are you trying to put them in?

    lvl 49 atm, science and engineering slots.
    /edit: tooltip says subadmiral 2 required, and the slot thing is pretty self explanatory really.

    Does an error msg show up when you try to equip it? Something along the lines of " Does not meet minimum requirements" Might show up in one of the chat tabs in the chat window.

    Yes, it says i would not meet the requirnments.
    Do i need to be part of a fleet or anything?
    Because i DO meet the requirnments stated in the tooltip. =(

    If it's mark XIII not XII you need 1 more level (50). The tooltip might be wrong about Sub II and expects Vice Admiral.

    its mk xii, which is weired cause ive allready got several mk xii items fitted.
    Ill give it another try when i hit lvl50, thnx for the info so far. ;)
    /edit: *duh* l2r, no its not mk13. ~~
    but i didnt miss something here, or do i need to be part of a fleet, have a certain crafting level or anything?

    I think the item actually requires 50, regardless of whatever the tooltip says.

    Allright, works with lvl 50, messed up tooltip and item description.

    also you can only have one of each of those consoles equipped
