Why are we still unable to upgrade the Wide Angle Voth Transphasic-Chroniton Launcher?

in Star Trek Online General Discussion
Since this was an issue, posted back in June, that was never answered in the Gameplay Bug Reports... I thought I would ask here. It would be different if the Wide Angle Quantum Torpedo Launcher could not be upgraded. However, it can be. Thanks ahead of time to whomever may respond.

    I knew using Kinetics would be playing the game on hard mode, but what I didn't realize was how bad the deck is stacked against Kinetics.

    Bigger question is why aren't there more wide angle torpedos available?

    Thanks for the support gentlemen! I just hope Cryptic reacts in a timely manner. With the set bonus for Projectiles coming soon, I would think that Cryptic would be pushing to stimulate interest in Projectile builds and maximizing the players experience and enjoyment.

    You have a valid point. They should allow the crafting of Wide Angle normal Chroniton, Photon, Plasma, normal Transphasic, and Tricobalt. I would include another Wide Angle Quantum, but they may want players to buy the ship.

    Jesse talked about upgrading space gearsuch as the Voth torpedo, not wide angle, and the Tholian Thermonic in the latest Tribbles in Ecstasy:Tribbles in Ecstasy Take 189: All Jessed Up around 1:15:00.

    He mentioned that there is a certain technical hurdle that will take him a day to dig down into the issue.He also mentioned that once everything is nailed down with the season 11 launch he might have a day to look at it.

    Been waiting a long time for that and other items.​​

    I use wide angle quantum torpedo on all my cruisers. I'd love a wide angle transphasic or chroniton though. Tricobalt would be awesome too.

    This issue it's not singular. The Kumari Phaser Wing Cannons also cannot be upgraded; the bug was reported and acknowledged over an year ago. Stil, it's not solved yet.

    Thanks for the information! It is good to know that there is someone tracking these issues.

    I had no idea they were still un-upgradeable. Based off of gerwalk0769's comments, it may be addressed after the release of Season 11 as well. We will just have to standby and wait for now.

    This seems like a good opportunity to make a list of all the stuff that isn't upgradable for easy reference.

    I agree. I am not sure if this could get a sticky as a repository for all equipment that still needs to be looked at for upgrading. But it would be nice.

    I dont' have to ship to test it but, if you can get me some screenshots of the Item and its info page I can put in a Bug Basher report for you... I think this was just an item that got missed but ill ask for you guys. :smile:

    Nelen Exil's ground weapon is also not upgradeable.

    Any update on the Wide Angle Voth Transphasic-Chroniton Launcher? As of today it is still not able to be upgraded?

    On a related note, the Herald Transphasic Torpedoes? There are none that we can upgrade. There are only the Standard versions on the Herald ships that we can't upgrade.

    It is a necro tread, but also unresolved, the unique torpedos should be upgradeable!, herald, voth, and others, please!
