The Lobi Crystal Consortium (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Quark Enterprises) has announced that they are no longer going to be offering the Year Of Hell Lock Box as in-game drops and rewards as of Tuesday, October 27th, 2015.

Still waiting for a "no lockbox drops" checkbox in the game's options menu. Please? Those lockbox special events are horrible. At the end of every STF or mission I have to discard 5-6 different lockboxes. I'm begging you. Give us an option to opt out.
Five years of STO, the coming Iconian Lock Box (New Dawn Lock Box, whatever it ends up being called) will be the fifteenth lock box, that's three a year, one every four months...
And they pile up in Inventory and Bank faster than most players can buy Master Keys. I'd probably be more interested if the Last Chance events were accompanied by a real discount on Keys, twenty-five or even fifty per cent off - not the dinky little fifteen per cent that doesn't even really put enough of a dent in the price to make it worthwhile...

Maybe a Harbinger you can summon?
Dalmatian puppy coat?
My bad... Dalmatian pets?
Herald Sticks
Would be great if they can tell us what areas to concentrate for the different lockboxes. I only want the Xindi for the Kemocyte and could care less for the other ones. Just hate the randomness of the event drops. I thought once we went to F2P mode the randomness of dropping rewards has gone. Yet those boxes are still randomly dropping with no logic if you need to concentrate in just one kind.
All right, I nearly choked on my coffee there. That was funny!
Seriously? Like as in destroy them? I just sold off my excess lockboxes and made an easy 14m. Some of the newer and more popular ones go for 2m a stack! Glad I sold them before the event!
Or just go into the Dilithium store and buy the ones you want? 200 dilithium for a stack of 20.

*THIS*. in Neverwinter they stack to 999. Like or Despise lockboxes, they should not get in the way. If you must pester us with them, don't make managing them a chore.

I want to say some new Mirror ships... but my brain is telling me not to say that.
So best guess... Octani (SP?) Cruiser?
And the 'consolation prize' ship will probably be a playable version of the "Krenim Heavy Raider" hanger pet from the Annorax Temporal Dreadnought, I'd say.

So if we can get the Baltim, do we get to repeatedly Kamikaze enemy ships for massive shield penetrating physical damage while sustaining virtually none ourselves? Because I'm not gonna lie, that would be stupendous.
Oh, and I agree that it would be much appreciated if the boxes could stack to 100 or even better 999.
^^^THIS^^^ Please. so tired of always having to discard stacks of lockboxes, because they are a total scam please give us the option to not be scammed. please?
I stop playing for a while due to life, and come back to see that the lockbox TRIBBLE is still ongoing.
Free tip: Try making them worth the money needed to open them. At the very least, don't make them the blatant rip-off that they currently are.
Year of Hell is what I spent on lockbox keys in the last 12 months. All this yielded was 9 T5 mediocre ships: a miserable return on investment, in my opinion (as well as a possible lockbox gambling problem). The saving grace was over 2000+ Lobi crystals.
Some modest recommendations:
1. At least give the lockbox keys a bigger discount. Say 25% or better (this was stated earlier)
2. Give a bigger discount for Zen. Say 25% or better. This would help sales of C-Store commodities and services.
3. Give a steeper discount for quantity key purchases. Say 100 keys for $50.
4. A lifetime subscriber perk for a monthly quantity of free lockbox keys.

If we get the Baltim, some form of that would probably be the Starship Trait, I'm thinking... toned down, of course, because Q forbid that NPC enemy ships not be like unto gods smiting us with totally unfair abilities that we just don't get counterparts to...

also the event name is very very missleading as this "last chance" event has happened sooooooooo many times before now that we all know that the event is going to come around again.
