My Yamato's hull indicator has been replaced with a green square

So I logged in this morning to discover this had happend to my fleet yamato

I reclaimed the cstore version to see if the same thing happend there and that one has no problems. Just curious if anyone else has encounterd this and knows how to fix it. if not im gonna make a bug report.

    It's not only when you own a ship. I saw that yesterday in an STF as team member's hull.​​

    This is a hideous issue that I noticed on other ships before. Want an even worse example?

    Try fly a Fleet T5U K't'inga battlecruiser. Its icon on the HUD isn't a square, but a Constitution (!!!) instead. In the ship list, it looks like a B'rel and when in a team list its a square to everyone.

    What makes me sad is that we probably have to wait for a T6 version of that to see any of that addressed. The Yamato being new and a fed ship will probably lead to it being fixed ASAP.

    Hm, I've also noticed that the icon for my Karas' wide-angle lance attack disappears when the Vector Mode is engaged.

    If they fix this with the next patch - it sheds a poor light on the ships that have this issue for months and years.

    My theory is that the "green square" simply shows a missing texture/asset and they just mislabeled the resource that's supposed to be displayed there. The K'tinga probably uses a "cruiser" type of graphic and is simply missing the "klingon_" or "battle_" prefix and thus displays the fed "cruiser" graphic.

    Those *should* be minor issues, but I have no idea.​​

    Ha...whoops, what an amusing bug. Your theory makes sense, angrytarg. I wonder if the green square is a placeholder the devs use during the development process while they're still finalizing the appearance of a ship? (After all, testing whether the build is working would not require the art assets to be complete.) And instead of the final art being loaded, the placeholder escaped into the game?

    EDIT: I saw the graphic in the OP's post last night. But now that I actually get around to finishing my reply, I can't see the image anymore...

    And now it shows again. OK, the Internet is weird. ;)

    Having a similar bug on my Kara. When I separate the ship the plasma spinal icon turns into a white box.

    There are lots of times for me when art assets don't properly load. When things refresh, sometimes they come back.

    This has happened before with the introduction of new ships. Most likely it will get fixed soon.

    It's weird, that issue cleared up for me last night, then returned this morning. I think it may be a missing texture as I also have the strange repeating 168mb patch every time I log in.

    If the KDF can get a Fleet D7 (that can be upgraded to a T5-U), the Feds should have a Fleet Exeter.

    Same thing on my Kara, but I see my ship in white on the green square when I have temporary Hull Points from Pilot & Attack patterns. It must just be a graphical layering glitch.

    Yep, but I think its just the Fleet Nova if I recall. And its only on OTHER players indicators. Our hull indicators still show up fine..well its shows up as a ship...just not the correct one
