Get the Constriction Anchor console while they are cheap to increase your power. at about 2M EC per console and a passive increase to exotic damage of 23.7% you don't wanna miss em. Have fun out there!
Oh I picked those up long ago when they were like 200k a pop.

Careful though. Not all of those consoles are equal. The original ones have the 23% Exotic Damage Bonus. Later ones after the nerf are only 3%. When these came out with the Vaadwaur Lockbox these were a big deal. It took Cryptic a few months to nerf them.
@Sinn I don't have any on the exchange lol was just trying to be helpful since I pvp and PvE a lot and most people who ask me about my builds don't know about half the stuff I use
Well... I notice the % does change when its on the exchange or when its in your inventory or equipped, but when I put it on my ship it show correctly as 23.7%. Works for me!

Hold on, do you mean to tell me that anyone serious about PG builds didn't know this yet?
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
I do think that not everybody is always keeping up with all the consoles and sets, since it can be a bit overwhelming. Especially with lockbox items if you don't open them yourself and the good ones tend to be pricy. So it may depend on what you call "serious".
(I find this one very useful and it didn't seem to be that expensive, but since I got it as a present from my fleet, I never looked at the price, so it may be an exception because PartGen builds are a minority)

I have 2 sci characters and use it on one and not the other. My overall impression is that it's ok and a tossup as to if it's worth a console slot.

"With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably."
This merits further investigation... quite aside from that, I doubt its obvious use would be an unwelcome addition to any repertoire.
I understand that you mean the anchor effect with the obvious use (keeping an enemy in place) and actually meant "welcome". Which it certainly is, but I guess for the standard builds the opportunity costs are too high.
A standard broadsiding beam build doesn't really care about the exact position of the enemy, since there's no distance penalty and your arrays cover a broad 140% area next to your ship. So there's probably better uses for that console slot with some other universals. For getting an enemy into hitting area, you would probably better go with a mine console and improve your turn rate, if needed at all.
A standard heavy cannon/turret build usually has less available console spots, since the 5 tacs will be filled by most with vulnerability locators and similar, add a couple of other "must haves" and you are already full.
Yes, there is a crowd control element to it, but I think CC has even less dedicated ships than PartGen (although of course they synergize extremely well)

How, exactly, do you propose we should know this? Buy out every single existing single digit % + Exotic Dmg increase hoping that by some way or another it gets multiplied? +3.3% sounds insignificant and a waste of a precious console slot vs many other + exotic dmg consoles.
I've got 3 already on all 3 main toons from not too long ago when they were 390k and they probably would have just sat there eating up inventory space, but at least now thanks to the OP I can try binding them and parsing instead.
Devs: Provide the option to Turn OFF full screen flashes from enemy ship explosions

I remember when those things were only around 100k or so average. I bought up about 40 or so of them just for fun. Might consider selling some of them back and make a profit.
I still have a ton of old Mirror ships I bought for 500k or less that I was originally using as minor Fleet-related awards. Might end up selling some of them back for a profit as well. Thanks Admiralty System.

Methinks in PvP that anchor is very well known since a long time.
Wow they really nerfed it from 23.7 to 3.3? lol there's one console I'm never buying now.
Cryptic nerfed it a month or two after Delta Rising / Vaadwaur Lockbox came out. I have tons of those pre-nerfed consoles with my toons since I snagged 1 up for every TAC & SCI character when they were cheap on the exchange.
on my build i sacrified a Assim Console for the 11% crit sev for that exotic dmg boost of 23.7% it raised my overall damage per hit by 1-4k across my skills. also i meant this as a pure exotic dmg boost not a beam mix or anything else my personal build has virtually no dmg output on its weapons with the exception of the torps and the breen torp (for a partg build this torp is monstrous). the CC effect is nice but its the passive boost you want for all your exotic dmg skills. sadly most people just see the anchor and say its not worth the time (for tac builds it most definately is a waste)
Got a console yesterday from the exchange. The tooltip stated a 3,3% or so but once equipped it changed to 23,7%. It's a nice console, especially in combination with some of these:

Yeah its pretty old news tbh.
But nice that its still affordable.
Bought one very early on.
I had figured this would be more expensive by now, but it seems there is a very large supply of them.
Seems this console dropped fairly often from the lockbox. Unlike the Leetch.
@spaceeagle20 lol no my build is a pure sci build and it runs about 50-60k DPS I've spiked it to 112K but that lasted about 6 seconds before everything exploded. I'm also a sci captian not a tac flying a romulan temporal science vessel. Quite frankly I hate just shooting stuff being a tac is boring cause its just point click and everything explodes. As a tac a 80k+ build isn't that hard to make. Well at least for me it's not.
