Logging into repeated SNR, and offline chat, and now can't get back in.

Congratulations on another perfect day long downtime cryptic. you never fail to dissapoint.

Game is still near unplayable, getting 100 second SNRs every few minutes.

Try setting your game to the US or EU proxy depending on where you live. From there consider logging in using safe mode if needed. Patch day and maintainence day can be a bit wonky when the server just comes back up just as with any other mmo. Be patient young grasshopper. If any of those suggestions doesn't help you then I'll see about getting you some other things to try.

I'm in the US, I wish they'd tell us when they decide to change some setting which breaks the game for a large portion of the playerbase. I was witnessing mass disconnects on quarks earlier.

Like I said, the game can be wonky coming off patch or maintainence. Try setting to the US proxy server like I said and see if that helps. Log in under safe mode if you need to. A good rule of thumb to have, ALWAYS assume that something has changed on patch day unless something says otherwise. That way you'll be prepared.

Been having this go on for the last 25 min. SNR, my ship moves a few inches on the screen (Undine BZ, btw), SNR, rinse and repeat. Finally got tired of that so logged and loaded up the launcher again. Now I can't even get to the login page.

Having exactly the same issues. I've been using EU proxy last week to get around these connectivity issues. Not working tonight.

It's not just Arc, the STO and Champions Online launchers do the same thing.

Rift, LOTRO, and WOWS work though... hint, hint.

As a corporate rat myself, I would think you should have stuff hitting rotating surfaces as your money maker is broken.

I request you take one senior engineer out side, taunt him, throw old food left in the fridges at him, then get back to work. I'll feel better and some of you will too

So what exactly was the point in ANYTHING that was done today? You know...the reason the game was down ALL F-ING DAY? For me, the game is also completely unplayable now, it's far worse than it was before. I'm getting to the point where I'm debating deleting all my characters and just burying this game in the past. This is just stupid...

I use Steam and it seems to work just fine. I haven't bothered trying with Arc. In the past, using the built-in EU proxy worked for me. I second the suggestion that some of you try it out.
When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.

It was odd, I did stuff for quite a while with no issues. then ran into killer lag and 2m SNRs for 5+ minutes.

We had some nasty networking problems that we wrapped up at 7pm PDT -- are you still experiencing problems? Maybe you caught the tail end of the issue. If you are having issues, can you throw me some details about whether the launcher fails to load, or what map the lag spikes on, or if it lags out trying to log you into your character in-game? I'm at the office for a little while longer, I might be able to poke around if the details give me a good lead.

That is the router that is causing the problems for me, I'm pretty certain of that considering it's always the first one to drop packets when SNR starts happening, and bypassing it via any kind of proxy always results in completely stable game play.

If other people who are experiencing these 2m SNRs could check if they also go through that router, it'd be interesting to know.

    Can I haz your stuff?

I haven't logged into the game since Monday (2300 hours is me being in bed, not in STO), but I'll see for myself later today. However, past experience has unfortunately taught me to be veryskeptical about anything regarding Server Stability Upgrades. With the programming knowledge of a jar of dirt, I still dareto guess that the server instability is for some part explained by the ever-increasing code. And would adding more code really help there? If I am completely wrong: please keep the jar of dirt in mind.

I think that giant lag spike I had may have been a local problem. I later noticed that my computer had been downloading updates while I was playing.

I wonder how you guys have these problems because they didn't change anything to the game at all, only the websites of there games were updated and the launchers but to all the games has been done nothing at all.... Otherwise what you could try is too reinstall the game from arc or steam that could help or as suggested setting your server to US or EU. Hope you are more lucky in the future...
