Please tell us that they separated the third nacelle from the stanchion. With the current Dread, the third nacelle changes with whichever stanchion you chose. All three nacelles need to be tied together.

I agree with this, i would like a different nacelles, however the middle you can't change. I have all kinds of ideas on this new ship.

Yep. Note that a lot of these Exploration Cruisers are named after the original Galaxy classes (the Venture for instance), including the Odyssey. Of note, the Yamato was the Galaxy class that discovered the path to Iconia, and the first to fall victim to the Iconian computer virus. A fitting class to debut after surviving a war with the Iconians.

Not only that, it's a double entandre with the Galaxy-Yamato being named after the Japanese Battleship Yamato. So with the T6 Dreadnaught being named Yamato, fits.
@neo1nx The T6 Galaxy-X should be able to equip the cloak, if I am correct. After all, the Fleet T5 Galaxy-X was able to equip the Cloak console, so... it's possible.
Of course it will, you did not get it.
I was speaking about an integrated cloack, meaning that it would not take a console slot.

See? Just like it was before season5.

But like i said, it not going to happened, the t6 avenger did not get his cloack integrated when it was upgrade to tier6 ( even if that cloack come from the gal x in the first place).
So it is most likely that this will be the rule for every tier5 ship in federation that go to tier6.

It was just a little dream of mine thinking about that or a battle cloack:)
Not that it would be super usefull nowaday since pvp is dead:)

One more thing I just have to add as one of the Galaxy fans from old threadnoughts long gone - a big thanks to the standard Galaxy Class touch-ups that came with this release like the Venture nacelles. Rest assured that it's deeply appreciated! :)

yep, not to name them, the " what is your beef with the galaxy" and "needed upgrade to galaxy class", not much people left from that time.
but seeing the changes made to the galaxy and now the galaxy x, everything was suggested in these 2 old thread.
so it wasn't a waiste of time after all:)

yes yes I'm here again to shoot my mouth off!

...First up.. Telling my boyfriend that his favorite ship [The Galaxy-X] was playable is what convinced him to join Star Trek Online in the first place.

We have the Fleet T5-U Variants of The Galaxy-X and HeavyEscortCarrier and fly them exclusively. I admit to getting the Alita when it came out, only to find that it's basically just a useless console and a skin. I was highly disappointed, and as such, the Yamato will not be part of our collection unless it becomes the first Starfleet ship to have an inherant "enhanced battle cloak". (i.e. not a console)

However! It's wonderful to see TNG getting some attention and love. I didn't really enjoy Voyager and DS9 [but loved non-xindi Enterprise] so this adds a certain something that I connect with.

The Model is beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. ThomasTheCat does an extraordinary job putting them together, and as I'm constantly rambling on twitter, conforming to the UVW layout must be a nightmare task to undertake, but somehow it's pulled off with a truly admirable precision... this coming from another 3d artist.

You guys have really outdone yourselves in offering extra customization for this... (galaxy-ish nacelles, the monarch) It's a lot to take in!

Thank you for This, and the Akira revamp. It will certainly take us out to space more often, just to fly around differently colored stars and see the shine!

However, in the light of that please forgive my (and others') gripe again though: The Excelsior class appeared in 55 Trek episodes and 5 movies, yet no remodel with its Tier 6 variant. As someone who bought the Resolute this once again feels like a slap in the face. Every other Tier 6 remodel seems to get one - why not the Excelsior too?

Probably not profitable iconic enough to warrant an HD remake.

I predict a Lt. Cmd Tac/Command Hybrid slot on that ship. No I am not trolling it is just what I expect after the most recent ship releases.

Coinciding with the launch of the Yamato Dreadnought Cruiser, we have completely rebuilt the model for the canon Galaxy Dreadnought. The updated model is based on the revamped Galaxy-class model released earlier this year and features more accurate shapes and extensive surface detailing, faithfully recreating the ship as seen in Star Trek: The Next Generation’s finale episode “All Good Things.”

Check out the new model here.

What would be really cool is to have the markings of the dreadnought available to the 'original' configurations. For example, the the red line pinstripes around the phaser beam arrays. I think those pinstripes make the ship look especially predatory. Fangs and Claws. Not just a bark but a savage and nasty bite.

Wow, well done. Might be the first T6 I end up getting. I particularly like that you can use a normal Galaxy saucer and pylons. I wonder if it will be possible to remove the third pylon entirely? One of the things that has disappointing me about the Galaxy (and the Nebula) has been the lack of a hanger slot-seems weird to me that the Federation ships with the most hanger space can't launch shuttles. If the third nacelle can be removed, I would truly be overjoyed.

I must say, it's been a very long wait but finally it's fixed and looks damn good. I am impressed. I could nitpick about minor details, the Venture skin still has alignment issues and it did not get the new Lance model, and the Lance is slightly misaligned for the Monarch skin, but this is better than anyone could ask for for the Galaxy Dreadnought itself.

This is news to me, from my experience you could change the center nacelle to whatever you wanted, it was the center pylon that was locked to the neck and would change with whatever version neck you were using.
In any case that is how it behaves now. Personally, I would prefer if the center engine pylon were also selectable, including an option to be able to remove it and the center nacelle completely.

Thanks :D
How do I get the Galaxy-X look from All Good things?
Hull and window wise, any patterns?
I am fan of the Galaxy class and Sovereign class. I like Federation cruisers.

Hoping for a Yesterday's Enterprise Bundle

My idea for the bundle

I just noticed on my Dreadnaught that the Phaser Lance isn't aligned with the ship centerline. It actualy points upward on all models except the Venture.

That said, why is the phaser lance on the Venture a dinky thing?

UPDATE: Well talking to TtC on Twitter, there will be no fixes.

The Venture is still using the old version. It took 5 years to get this much, I wouldn't hold out much hope for getting anything else where the Galaxy Dreadnought is concerned.

Well the old version looks good on the Venture, so I rather keep that.

But that's why I pointed out the error. They never had the time to fix the old Lance. And I fear they don't care about fixing the new one. Seems all they care about is rushing new ships out the door. So in the end, it probably never will get fixed.

Probably not, but to be fair if you look closely at images of the studio model you can see that the lance is not perfectly inline with the bottom of the saucer, it too has a slight upward tilt, so what you are talking about is a matter of a couple of degrees, if that. They did do a lot to improve the details of these models, I have to give them credit for that, but there are still many details that are vastly different from the studio models if you know what you are looking for. A for instance would be STO still putting windows where there is an auxiliary deflector on the Galaxy's saucer or not using the Galaxy's recognizable aztec hull texture. The point is you can spend all day picking nits, but at some point you are no longer being helpful when what you are drawing attention to is invisible in normal gameplay. The Dreadnought before with it's off center parts was glaringly obvious, it's flaws could be seen in normal gameplay, it needed to be fixed. Now, that is no longer the case, and everything looks very good in normal play, but to get the Galaxy "Studio Perfect" would require considerably more work, most of which would be wasted on anyone who is actually playing the game, instead of just sitting around zoomed in gawking at the ship.

If something is not broken, don't fix it, if it is broken, don't leave it broken.

Max, if there was nothing wrong, then why they just fix it in today's patch?

Lance on the Galaxy Dreadnought seems to have been straightened so it isn't angled upward - thanks for that.

However, the lance on the Monarch skin is still angled upward.

Also, the Monarch appears to be missing fins from the Warp pylons - is this intended?
