Fed aligned Romulans no longer able to purchase Fed ships at any level.

Started a new Rom toon and worked my way up to level 20. Chose to side with Feds and tried getting the heavy escort for my tac Rom and only option was with dilithium. Tried at new romulus command center and when it wouldn't let me buy it there went to ESD to try there. Same problem there, needed dilithium to purchase any ship other than a romulan design. I've been away about a month but thought Rommies could use their aligned faction ships as well up till T4. Has this changed or have I found a new bug?

    Yes, and have a ship token available to purchase a romulan ship. Any Fed ship costs dilithium to purchase.

    Looks like a possible bug, I've just been able to repeat it in the KDF side with a T3 ship, I can purchase Romulan ships, but not the T3 KDF raptors. I'd go as far as saying I can confirm it. I can however claim a level equivalent C-Store raptor.
    I've raised this with the Operational Support Team.​​

    Romulans were never able to claim allied faction ships for free while leveling up. They've always had to pay dilithium to get those ships. They can, however, claim any tier 4 or lower ships of their allied faction from the c-store at no charge for any ships you have purchased.

    I agree they weren't free, but I am pretty sure you could purchase them with a ship token the same as a Romulan ship up until level 40.

    No. Romulans have never been able to use their ship tokens you get while leveling up for their allied faction ships. All of those ships required you to pay dilithium to acquire. If you have any tier 1-4 ships of your allied faction in the c-store you had previously purchased you can claim it free of charge on your Romulan. You can only use ship tokens for Romulan ships.
