Delta looks like a cuttlefish. Or is it scuttled-fish?

I'm going with the Delta (even though it looks like it'll lose) because honestly, Gamma just looks like yet another escort. It doesn't say "this is a miniature city of a space-ship" like Delta.

What's bloody wrong with you voters? Democracy sucks. Qdamnit, Federation starships are NOT Star Destroyers! Damn chevrons to the lowest level of hell! The whole point of the ROUND saucer section of Federation vessels is the maximization of equal logical space for humane living and ease of use and orderliness, all opposite points being equidistant from the bridge. Half saucers and triangles express neither equality, nor efficiency of internal layout for long-term space habitation.

Round is peace, angularity is hostility. The Empire is evil! You are truly lost!

Vote ROUND saucers, save the Federation.

I liked gamma from the start for a carrier. It looks big, and sleek. i hope it wins.

I know people will shoot me down for this, but I'd like to see a space battle mini-movie between the different ship designs we are choosing from with each match up being a quick dogfight with the winner of each contest blowing the losing ship to pieces.

Then again, people might be cross to see their favourite design that didn't make it get pounded on by a design voted against....

The thing I don't understand is why people are talking about size already - that is not what this round is about, and you can't tell size anyway because they are all the same size.

This is a terrible way to go about designing a ship. How are you suppose to get a sense of a ship design you are vetoing on by looking down on it. That is like trying to pick out a house you would like to buy by looking at photos with just views of the roof. If you really want to make a do it yourself project, have a ship generic class of ship with lots of choices of styles. Many more that what you get with your usually ship. Then you might have something that people would like to use in the game long after the new wears off.

Gamma because why not? Sure, it doesn't have the round or elliptical saucer of the Connie or Galaxy..but what other Trek ships don't have a round saucer? I can name a few - Intrepid, Norway, Defiant..these are just ones I thought of off the top of my head, plus every other ship STO (as it is considered canon the last time I checked).

This game is in no way, shape, or form "canon." lol. No star trek game has ever been canon, only what appears on screen in the form of tv or film.

Side on, Delta looks better, imo, but I'll admit I'm one of those heretics that's never been a fan of round saucers. =P

But does it surprise you? From the beginning STO and it's players were very busy getting as much genericness into this game as possible. Everything which looked different or even traditional in the Star Trek sense is usually ridiculed by a good portion of the playerbase and things that look like default sci-fi stuff gets applauded for being innovative. People want the ships they know from other shows in this game, they'd even prefer present day jetfighters and battleships just floating through space.

Me too...my first real Trek love in a ship design was the Sovereign. To this day I cannot forget how it took my breath away the first time I saw it, in the theater watching First Contact. What a gorgeous ship.

While it was never quite finished, someone started a really neat project, imagining a modernized version of the TNG intro with the Enterprise-E...

#TeamGamma , Delta has this weird bulbous protrusion at the front of itself. While its more rounded design fits with canon, that protrusion is way out of bounds, and that nacelle configuration is not optimal, in look, or in scientifically how they function. GAMMA takes the cake here.

Yep. No need for neural parasite. Most players are drones that just fall in line by themselves.

I'll be sad if these aren't redrawn into actual carrier sized and shaped vessels. These all suck... the least worse is Theta

Again none of them are my favorite, but voted with the one I dont like the least.
On Gamma I only liked the nacelles differently shaped.
Delta just sucks imho, even if it may be, slightier, bigger then the Omega. And Delta also looks like other ships from other sci-fi movies. To me, it resembles alot with those big alien ships from Independence Day, but just with 4 nacelles attached to them. Yuck, round sucks, round is bad lol

Come on! im on the losing team again! But Delta by far is one of the best designs. Delta and Omega was my favs except the quad nacelles. There are so many haters of the typical trek round saucers here! Ok, go on and make another supercarrier ugly warship for peace times. Whos with me an make an association "Save the platillo volador saucer" ?

While I don't care for any of the choices, I think I'll just vote for the losing ship each time from here on.

Why the hell do they all have the nacelles so tight against the primary hull?
What happened to the notion that the engines were designed to be AWAY from the people in the ship, because of the massive energies they give off?
I really prefer the classic Treknologies to this new TRIBBLE.
