Do you think that collusion between specific groups of people in this community is ok?

I am not going to single anyone out, but over the years I have found this as very common place. Some groups and users have favoritism with the devs, and those users/groups have put a lot of money into the game as a result.

I haven't seen as much collusion on the pro-dev side but I won't say you're wrong. For that specific purpose, as well as a few others, I'm also not fond of it. I've actually given up on thinking of this as a community at all. Much too much flaming and hate and on the forums as of late ganging up against non-DPSers, Klingon players, non-Kemo users and the list goes on.

I'll quote Saving Private Ryan on this one:
Private Jackson: Hey, Upham, careful you don't step in the TRIBBLE!

Hehehe. I know how two fix two of those problems! Let's get this communism started!

In all seriousness though: I'm not too watchful of most of this forum, and I haven't seen anyone complaining about people not using a hundred-million artificially inflated EC item we call Kemocite... but, is this true? Because, MAN. If I don't buy Kemocite at their types of prices I'll eventually get yelled at in-game? Oh well, I don't mind.

About the non-DPSers, that's really easy. Just give them advice. I once got completely destroyed along with another Engineer vs. a Tactical cloaking officer on the ground, and the other one politely gave me advice to boost my ground survivability (in this case, bringing my attention to Adapted MACO's rechargeable Hypo breaking hold effects). To anyone that screams or whatever at them is really just immaturity and no one should worry about it. Anyone who wants to criticize without giving advice or suggestions should be promptly ignored. : )

That anti-Klingon portion is interesting... Not even touching that one though, mainly because I can't even understand the concept. After all, we did get Plasmonic Leech from them. ; )

If anything there is more ganging up on the DPS elitists.
The only time I've ever seen the DPS elitists "Hate" on non DPSers is when someone joins an advanced/elite STF while doing ~2k DPS.

Meanwhile it is fairly common for me to see people complaining about the role of DPS in the game.

I'm not talking about NoP Druk. You guys are great. Been posting in that channel for over a year now and there are a few very "aggressive" people, but for every aggressive person there's someone like you.

It's pretty normal for NoP to be filled with quirky people who've simply drank one too many Romulan Ales. They're fine. I get a lot of hate and I live with it.

I'm talking about something else that has popped up recently in another popular community where someone seems to be very vocal. Those people have some crazy collusion going on, or at least that's my current brain TRIBBLE of the day.

I've had hate thrown at me before for apparently low DPS, being a Sci, being in a Sci ship.....I just laugh it off tbh, cause at the end of the day, I didn't go boom, unlike them, and I do my part!
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.

Yes... The devs have their favorites... No big secret...

The guys from STOked were the Dev's top favorites until they started to add critique of certain changes...

Then suddenly the Dev's stopped defending them in every post they could find, and turned their attention to other suckups...
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Let me put the rumors to rest: it's definitely still the C-Store (Cryptic Store) It just takes ZEN.

That pisses me off and I'm not a DPS elitist, 2k dps means you are not even trying, you can easily do 5-7k dps with mk X uncommon equipment, right now there is no excuse, you can have mk XII very rare equipment just by playing through episodes and deal 7-9k dps easily, and that's more than enough for advanced.

Haha, what a nice fill-in-the-blank question to ask. You can fish for all sorts of phobias.

I'm gonna go with Federation PVE players. They're obviously being catered to.

    Care to elaborate?

As far as I'm concerned it's not appropriate to show excessive favor to a group regardless of how much anyone might try to curry it. That said I do *not* think the devs should cater to or reward attitudes and behaviors that violate the rules of basic civility. When people act that way I do not mind seeing their interests left behind.

So we are not allowed to disagree?

In this case I don't think the problem lies with the community. The problem is your own.

Am I? Why is it everyone elses posts are fine but whenever I post something I'm flamed straight to hell? I'm done here. It is crystal clear to me more than even before that the breakdown of this "community" has devolved into nothing more than a flame fest. Congratulations flamers, you win.
