Launcher Udating Issues?

Having tried to get into the game for going on 45 minutes, I could not even get to the launcher....the little black updating box popped onto my screen.. ran 1/4 - 1/3 of the update....then stopped and all I got was "Arc encountered an error whilst updating, please try again" I was trying again and again yet it took me over an hour to actually get to the login/launcher, anyone else had any problems today?

When I logged in this morning, the launcher did have an update, but it ran very quickly and seemed to complete normally and then I was in.
