Just a minute ago or so, 19-SEP-2015 at 9:30 PM, Eastern Time (New York, et al), I tried logging in and I see this message: Unable to authenticate: Couldn't even attempt account server connection

Wow! Just...wtf? Unable to authenticate: Couldn't even attempt account server connection

Has anyone else seen this message any time recently? Was there anything that could be done to fix it?​​

    Something has gone sideways with the crypticstudios.com domain.
    Right now, there are no reported DNS servers for "patchserver.crypticstudios.com"

    I'm sure they know something Bad has happened and are working on it.

    I cant even get the launcher up. Im pretty sure Cryptic is being attacked again :(

    Same issue here. Game was working only a couple of hours ago

    Everything was all right at 8:23 PM(EST), now I can't start the launcher.

    Still FUBAR. Can't get the launch window to open... "Unable to establish connection to Patch Server. Please check your Internet connection. If problems persist, please contact Technical Support." Obviously I have internet connection since I can post here...

    yep. That's a good way to put it. They just shut the door for the weekend and said "good luck, servers, see ya monday!"
