Hello,
i want to get a new ship for my tactical fed (52).
As weapons i prefer torpedoes, now i am using Photon MKxII very rare CRTD CRTH Borg, but i accept any other except tricobalt.
As for my Skills: Attack Patterns - max, Commander - max , Starship weapons - max, Starship Projectile - max , Starship Projectile Specialization - max, Structural Integrity - max , Starship Armor Reinf - max , Hull repair - max , Warp Core - max , Warp Core Pot, - max , Shield Performance - max.
Bridge Abilities:
Attack Pattern Beta 3
Torpedo Spread 2
Attack Pattern Beta 1
Torpedo Spread 1
Hazard Emitters 1
Transfer Shield Strength 2
Please advise for:
1. new ship, can be any ship (T6 or T5) suitable for what i want (see above), please take into account that i want high DPS and want to max damage
2. recommend changes for abilities and skills with the new ship
Thank you very much for attention and comments!

thank you!
Do you like to stand off at long range to pummel your foes while moving little, or do you like to be in close, bobbing and weaving in the middle of the action?

I knew using Kinetics would be playing the game on hard mode, but what I didn't realize was how bad the deck is stacked against Kinetics.

I can do it both, but i like better to stand off at long range to pummel your foes while moving little
darkknightucf, thank you for the link, but it will be more useful some more specific details, not just a new forum. I already spent some time to understand again the mechanics and the gear as i was come back on STO after 2 years. But i also try here as you guys can cover knowledge i don't have yet.
The questions remains are:
1. new ship, can be any ship (T6 or T5) suitable for what i want (see above), please take into account that i want high DPS and want to max damage. Please be specific to one/two ships.
2. recommend changes for abilities and skills with the new ship
Thank you!
Torps have shared cooldowns, adding a 4th or 5th up front is not necessarily going to make any improvement beyond torp choice.
Sci abilities, in particular grav well are great for torping, sci ships also have shield sub system targetting built in.
Beam overload from a DBB followed by big torp, eats shields and as a dbb has the same fire arc you won't have to re-position your ship. Shield damage can also be done with dyson beam, which a photon build would have anyway.
A crowd control ability + kemocite + TS + destabilizing beam + attack pattern/area damage debuff = massive damage That sort of spike damage keps torp boat dps up
The cruisers with command seating are not built for quickness, so are less then ideal limited firing arcs, that said from the T6 Fed ships with command: a command cruiser Presidio, Geneva or Concorde or the new Resolute over the slow-poke Guardian or Exploration. If command is not necessay then HEC, Arbiter and even Eclipse come into play.
HEC is fragile but quick and has a hangar and pilot seating
Arbiter 5 front weapons and is decently tough with intel seat and decent sci seat option
Eclipse has cloak, Intel seating and special sensor toy
+ sci ships if 3 weapon slots are enough
If equipping a single toon lock box ships are viable if one REALLY appeals, tallking same cost for 1 ship as unlocking T6 or T5U account wide; Checkout Viral Torp starship trait on lock box benthan ship, also the more easily flown carriers like Jemmy Dreadnaught, these days good turn rates can be had on ships that should be slooow.
As stated before, see my signature for the details of each ship, loadouts, traits, notes, tips, and videos.

I run a tac command cruiser as a long range "siege" style torp ship that should move little once in range, but I still do a fair amount of repositioning in most STFs. It's far below darkknightucf's builds in DPS right now, though it's most likely due in part that I'm sort of new to the kinetic thing. Because I'm no expert at it, I can't recommend it for a max DPS build until I can definitively say that myself or another player is parsing near his DPS with some consistency using that ship. It's got a lot of things going for it, though. AHOD, can slot 2 concentrate firepower abilities, even a destabilizing resonance beam and structural integrity collapse, while still using a drake build kind of setup. A lot of players get the ship just for the ship trait, not that it's an exceptional platform for lots of builds, though I think it's flexible enough to fit many without being horrible when setup well.
Below is a link to my build, but I still recommend that you start with looking at darkknightucf's builds as his are amongst the "gold standard" right now in kinetic builds.

Until you hit level 60, please play with the ships you currently have. See what skills and ship you like and what work best for you. This will help drive your ship purchase. You might also use some of the free torpedoes you receive as mission rewards or drops.
You can find missions reward info here and here.
