When will be able to select traits for Boffs

The main reason I am asking is because Romulans have a big advantage in this area. They can field a bridge with 10 space traits.
FED and KDF have access to only one (Porkins Hierarchy).
Please spare the op dps race comments unless they provide high entertainment, that horse carcass has been beaten into glue.

    Feds have efficient and leadership as well; KDF have Pirate and Efficient (not both, but boffs that come with one or another). Just saying.
    SCM - Crystal C. (S) - [00:12] DMG(DPS) - @jarvisandalfred: 8.63M(713.16K) - Fed Sci

    SCM - Hive (S) - [02:31] DMG(DPS) - @jarvisandalfred: 30.62M(204.66K) - Fed Sci

    Tacs are overrated.

    But no BoFFs with BOTH efficient and leadership. Roms can get SRO and Sup Sub or Sup Inf. If you have the intel boffs I'm pretty sure theres and efficient SRO as well. Porkins gives us Efficient and Pirate. Not bad but no longer customizable.

    The least they could do is make the Liborg Science Boff from the Lobi Store an Efficient SRO.

    I'd be more happy if I could just have 10 ground and 10 space traits equipped at the same time vs having to switch them all the time.

    Also the KDF Delta Intel boffs have a few interesting traits. The Klingon has Leadership, and the Vulcan Efficient. the Romulans are surprisingly boring. Romulan with SRO, Reman with whatever they get instead, and an efficient Borg... all good, and all stuff Roms already had.

    Now we need a lore blog to explain why Leadership is dishonorable. :D

    I looked at the Romulan Intel BoFFs.

    Liborg Sci - Efficient
    Rom Eng - Superior Infiltrator and SRO
    Reman Tac - SRO and Superior Subterfuge

    Non Intel
    SRO and Subterfuge is possible for Romulan BoFFs
    Superior Infiltator is possible for Reman Boffs
    Plus they have access to Lobi, Diplomacy and Episode Boffs.

    There is an astounding advantage to having a Romulan Character when it comes to BoFFs

    Please make the factions more different! I'm so over threads of 'I want to be x with every shiny from every other faction/race/career'. With all the latest cross faction ships, it's already too much like just choosing your favourite colour. I want more differences!

    This would create more differences. If we could select traits we wouldn't all be stuck with Borg and Romulans on our bridges. I could use my breen and jem'hadar tac officers if I could get them a space trait or 2.

    I'll also add it's about balance too.

    Now that I am at my comp...LOL kinda funny coming from a guy with a DPS League Sig. Most people would bet a lot of latinum you are running 2-3 SROs on a Fed Escort. Imagine if you had BOs that weren't Romulan with SRO. That's what I am talking about. I could care less what the traits were. If Feds could get at least leadership and efficient on one. The problem is Roms have a guaranteed 1 of 3 on either Romulan or Reman.

    Romulan's are supposed to be OP. They were always OP in the series, which is why the Federation always tried to talk themselves out of a direct fight. The Scimitar was massively OP in Nemesis too. If it became possible for a human boff to have the same traits as a Romulan, there'd be no point in having a separate faction.

    I have many toons, with many different roles and setups. I've just finished levelling up my Pakled Engineer, and he has an all Pakled away team. The species trait that a Pakled comes with (Dumb Luck), gives crit chance on the ground. Romulan's don't have that, and it would be silly if they did.

    Hello everyone,

    I like the Idea of changeable Bridge Officer Traits very very much,
    I am looking for a very rare BO Ground variation for about a year now, checking every day several times
    i would pay 15 Million EC for each (in need of 2)

    Lets Talk about Bridge Officers and their Traits in Away Team Situations,

    there are over 50 possible Traits for BO´s, unfortunately 90% are completely useless

    check them all out here:
    http://sto.gamepedia.com/Bridge_Officer_traits

    -- Physical Damage Traits --( a "BO" attacks only once every 6 to 7 seconds ) (not the kit abilities)
    that means Melee Attacks Combos, completely OFF THE TABLE -- useless
    (one exception: "Zefram Cockrans Shotgun" causes Physical Damage)

    -- Resistance Traits -- every shape and size - are simply not needed, because the occasions are so unbelievable rare

    Your ground performance will suffer, if you going for a stylisch Away Team,

    Breen
    -- Cold Dwelling = useless Resistances
    -- Cryonic Visor Beam = attack (3 sec. charge , 1 minute Cooldown)
    -- Mental Discipline = useless Resistances
    -- Soldier = +5% All Energy Damage +10% Critical Severity (no Superior)

    Jem'Hadar
    -- Shroud = the KI is more busy with cloacking than attacking
    -- Engineered Soldier = +5% Dmg (Melee) +5% Dmg (Ranged) +3% CrtH + 5% CrtD Severity
    -- Superior Stubborn = useless Resistances
    -- Superior Peak Health = +15 Toxic Resistance (useless) +15% Maximum Hit Points (ok)

    Reman
    -- Mental Burst - (1 sec charge / 2 min recharge ) 30 dmg 4.6 (meter Sphere) - useless
    -- Mental Discipline = useless Resistances
    -- Stubborn = useless Resistances
    -- Telepathic = +15 Perception +2.25% Expose Chance +1.5 sec Expose Duration - useless

    Voth
    - Superior Creative - +12.5% to Damage dealt by Kit powers +20% Healing to Shields and Hitpoints (must have!)
    - Superior Covert =+15 Stealth +15% Exploit Damage (useless - not enough exposed targets)
    - Suspended Animation - Revive from defeated state, once per 90 sec (not bad, most of the time, not needed)
    - Bio-Organic Sedativ = -66,7% Run Speed for 5 sec +2 Stun for 6 sec (cooldown unknown)

    You Want a Bridge Officer with

    Common = 2x Basic / 2x Standard / 0x Superior Trait
    Uncommon = 1x Basic / 3x Standard / 0x Superior Trait
    Rare = 1x Basic / 2x Standard / 1x Superior Trait
    Very Rare = 0x Basic / 2x Standard / 2x Superior Trait

    By the Way there is ONE Bridge Officer Candidate with 4x Superior Traits,
    The Borg Science Bridge Officer Candidate, which is obtained by obtaining the accolade "Assimilated" while playing the ground mission “Khitomer Accord”.

    Superior Borg Nanites = +15% Health Regeneration / Regens 9% Shields every 5 sec
    Superior Borg Neural Blast = no damage ; 1 min Cooldown ; movement debuff
    Superior Natural Immunities = useless Resistances (but a lot of them + 50 each)
    Superior Resilient = +7.5 Physical Damage resistance +7.5 All Energy Damage resistance useless Resistances

    What we need are Bride Officers that are focused in:
    - Dealing as much Damage as possible
    - Exposing the enemy
    - Healing

    Most useful Traits

    Aggressiv = +2.5% /+5.0% /+7.5% All Damage and Threat Generation
    Creative = +7.5 % /+10% /+12.5 Kit Damage + 10 % / 15% / 20% more Healing HP and Shields
    Lucky = +1.5% /+3.0% /+4.5% CrtH + 5% /+10% /+15% expose Chance
    Soldier = ++2.5% /+5% /+7.5% All Energy Damage + 5% /+10% /+15% Critical Severity

    unfortuneatly, this combiniation is IMPOSSIBLE in Star Trek Online
    because every Race, even ALIEN has at least 1 Trait that will always be there and this trait is very useless

    other useful traits are bound to certain races
