Star Trek Online: Tales of the War, Log 20
This feels personal. The Iconians are targeting New Romulus and the Romulan people, and not just because of the old gateway. Crateris suffered an outbreak of an engineered plague. Gasko station’s chief of security was subverted by a neural parasite. The Iconians want to hurt us specifically.
But why? And what can we do about it? The allied forces were barely able to stop M’tara, and at a huge cost. If there’s a reason for the Iconians to pay special attention to us, we don’t even know what it is, and we may be exterminated before we ever find out.
I’m going to try to track down the predators that the Iconians have introduced before they can completely unbalance the biosphere relations, but this is just one more point to a many-pronged attack. The Iconians have something special in mind for us – and if they were somehow involved in the destruction of Romulus, that may just be the start.

What do YOU think is the reason the Iconians are being so harsh with the Romulans? Did Sela actually suffer as a prisoner of war under the Iconians? Could she have struck a palpable hit to the Iconians? Could future Romulans be the cause of the downfall of the Iconians in the past? The present?? The future???

Despite the pride of many - the Romulans that are present right now are not the powerful force they once were - and if the Iconians can take out the Romulans - the allied forces lose what I would say is some of the most powerful weaponry in the quadrant... Not to mention the Romulan people are a powerful force themselves - and if they can unify themselves, they would be even more formidable against the Iconian scum.

Perhaps it is as simple as the fact that Romulan territory was all formerly part of the Iconian central power base? Romulans are in the way of the Iconian plan for "All must be as it was"?
Possibly, though in that scenario, apparently the Romulan home world was not part of that "was", and maybe it wasn't, maybe it had yet to form into a planet when they were the power that ruled the galaxy?

Which in all honesty seems to be common on the part of ST writers in general...
Something that has crossed my mind is on the Delta Recruits. I haven't been able to level mine up to level 20 yet. So, I don't know if that thread leads to any significant foreshadowing of what's to come by having a Delta toon reach the end of their Iconian chain.
Did any of you guys get a Delta Recruit maxed out? Did that give you any foresight into what could be coming next?
I will post a link here as a Spoiler. So, don't open the spoiler unless you want to see the answer.
My guess: Sela's been lying about everything the whole time -- I know, no surprise here either way (no surprise that I would say that, and no surprise that Sela would be lying; in fact, sometimes I wonder if she be a pathological liar, or simply be so disconnected from reality that she doesn't realize that she's full of fertilizer). She ran only to cover her own behind, just like she has done multiple times in the past.
Yes, I have a DeltAlt at level 60, and another at level 57 (and two more of lower level, one in the low 40s and one in the high 30s). There's no particular revelation at the end pertaining to the Iconians.
Many things were/are collected before the Alliance is formed, and even then, not all "Captains" will be privy to such information.
Tal'Shiar/Reman Resistance/Romulan Nemesis uniform, pls.
