Timing out and Connection loss even at NIGHT now!

So, now the connection issues have gone beyond normal high volume periods of 4pm-8pm PST. Now it is bleeding into the 10pm-2am range. Could you PLEASE work on these issues BEFORE stacking more "features" to the game. This kind of disconnection and unreliability is why many left during DR.

    Same here. I haven't been able to play any queues all day. Only single player stuff. Every other game, streaming service, and internet based service imaginable works flawlessly for me.

    It was awful about 12 hours ago and it's awful again now. Absolutely unplayable.

    I'm getting the same problem. Starts around 7pm EST and it's still bad 6 hours later. And it's been every night this week. Just did a speedtest and got 176mbs download.

    And all of a sudden just like that, i can do anything as if there was never any lag. As if Trendy went into the server room and flipped the lag switch into the off position. Finally.

    I'm lagging like mad. Right now I'm at 200 seconds of server not responding.

    What's maddening is there are people who are playing like normal. My CCA queue was completed before I even got to the entity. How are people playing this without extreme lag?

    There's a HUGE outage at Level 3 - a major internet hub in North America. It's causing delays and outages in several areas. Cryptic's servers are in one of the cities affected.

    well then it's surpising we can play at all as bad as the servers can be.

    There's a major outage? My tracert has 22 hops and only the 21st shows a problem. There's a little latency at the 10th hop but no big deal.

    I am getting lots of lag and server not responding as well. With several disconnects. PvEs are virtually impossible to play.

    Issue is now running into the morning, login timeouts, SNR's, stuttering, and disconnects. The game isn't playable. Thankfully there aren't any events right now that require at least one activity per day to complete, right? Right?

    This has gotten really bad right now, can't even turn my ship. If I wanted a ship that couldn't turn I'd be in a Bortas.

    No, its the game but not all users may be equally affected (or affected at all).

    And while the haves may get annoyed by fixing a critical, game killing problem for some users, its really not fair to ask the have-nots to sacrifice the last few days of the CC event just to hold off until the next scheduled maintenance (assuming something like that would even be required.)

    ^Did you not see the post several replies ago, the issues are with STO. Stop being the defense squad just because you are not experiencing lag. If it is a server that they are using that is down in an specified area then they need to say something instead of ignoring the problem. The fact is this is not people's internet connection it is Cryptic TRIBBLE service as usual.

    most of the time if something actually inferes with play they add time to the event. generally way more then the down time. I've seen em add a week when it was down for a day.

    A new day. New problems. Basically it takes about 7-8 minutes just to get to the character screen. After which it takes over a minute to load any given character's visuals for the ship and crew with the "play" button greyed out the entire time. Upon attempting to log in to the character, nothing happens, just a blank purple starry background with nothing showing up on the top right corner where normally a percentage would show. After 30 seconds or more, I simply receive the "log in timeout" message. If by chance, I happen to be able to log in, I am unable to do ANYTHING ELSE. PVE Queues are absolutely unplayable. I can't go 10 seconds without rubberbanding and/or SNR'ing. I ran a speed test and I'm downloading at 36 and uploading at 12. Just like yesterday, EVERY SINGLE OTHER INTERNET SERVICE IMAGINABLE WORKS FLAWLESSLY. Netflix, youtube, minecraft, Ark: Survival Evolved. Numerous other games. Only this game has issues.

    Now I have no idea of why it says xbox patch server on #20. I typed in a trace route for the regular patch server. #19 ALWAYS times out for me in every test that I ever do, every day going back weeks.

    Can't even log into the launcher anymore. While all of this bull$*!@ was going on yesterday, my ping times were 100-120ms, but the netgraph bar would just start filling the screen and then I'd get the "server not responding message. Chat seemed oddly unaffected, I guess those servers are somewhere else.

    I found a website where you can check to see if something is down, and it's based out of nyc so the route would be totally different, and it fails at the same spot as mine. When this first started yesterday, I switched my game (not the patcher) to the US proxy and that seemed to at least get me in, but the game was still utterly unplayable.

    I just wish someone official would chime in and say YES THERE ARE ISSUES WITH THE INTERWEBS.

    i've never experienced these issues until now.

    but right now, they are SEVERE. I'm lucky if I can login and when I do, every 30 secs is "server not responding" or getting disconnected. This is ridiculous. This is bad business. This is poor quality. Get it fixed or scrap your game.

    same issues pretty much everyone is stating. Just out of curiosity are you guys all U.S. based? Heard it was only affecting U.S. players

    Between 11am this morning and right now 3:07pm I have experienced over 30 disconnects. Missions, PVE's and any social zones results in "server not responding" and then disconnection. The only thing functional right now is sector space.

    this is ridiculous. And obviously there is no issue on the dev team's side because they're ******* streaming game play today as if nothing is even wrong.

    Yeah, I'm experiencing pretty severe connection issues as well.
