Starbase 234 alternative?

So I've been wanting to test some different carrier pets with my Vo'Quv, and I went to Starbase 234. Apparently it's bugged and can't be attacked, for years now?

So are there any alternatives to use?

    Foundry missions can be useful to test stuff.
    I read someone on reddit used The Sword of the Kuvah'Magh* to test different torpedoes. Seems that would also work to experiment with carrier pets.

    The Undine Battle Zone might also be helpful. Pick a point no one is busy with yet and try your stuff. Earn some Undine Marks and maybe even Elite Marks in the process, or switch to a low-population instance when you feel it's getting to full to conduct meaningful tests.
    The Dyson Area Control map might also be neat, since there are also always enemies there.

    (*I have no idea what that mission is about or who wrote it, I just read about its use for this particular purpose.)​​
