Crystal Shards missing?

One of my alts is down to 4 shards, had 11 or 12 I think. Anyone else have similar problem?

Not submitting a ticket, learned my lesson there. Tired of spending a few days so they can say they are right and im wrong...

You know, I could have sworn I was missing one or two on two of my alts, but with 9 of them to keep track of, I just assumed I was imagining it. Now you are going to make me wonder. Thanks a lot. ;)

Running 8 through event myself. I run them in order every day. It was easy to notice for me since I had 10+ on my event characters and now one of them has 4. Still going through my alts though, will post if i notice more missing.

Open your inventory and look to see if there is an 'Overflow Bag' button. If so, click it and remove all items in there. If the bag won't open you'll need to exit the game and relaunch it to get it to open. Often times during this event this is where missing shards wind up. Hope this helps.

No overflow bag, have a few characters left, but so far only 1 seems to have lost anything.

I don't know about you guys but I know there are some players that hold their shards either in their bank or in their inventory until they have the 14 shards they need to complete the main project.
I would like to know how many players do this as to me there is a big risk in doing this as it could be so easy to accidentally discard them or even from some fluke find they are no longer in there or at least not as many as you thought you had maybe even by sometimes forgetting to play certain characters and then thinking you had or perhaps playing the event too early to qualify for the shard without realising you never received it.

this is why I always start the project on the first day feeding in each characters shard as its received, doing this makes sure that you cannot accidentally discard the shards plus its so much easier to check all of your characters projects to make sure they have the same number of shards if you loose track and its easier to see by checking your inventory after playing the mission that you have the shard for that day or if you don't guess you are a little under the 20hr time limit to qualify for the shard.

I do the same with any event that I have taken part in, I can confirm I have never misplaced any tokens or found I had less tokens then I thought I had.

When I think about everything we've been through together,

maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,

and if that journey takes a little longer,

so we can do something we all believe in,

I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.

It would be a drag for me to put daily 1 shard on 14 characters in the project. And I would surely forget to do it on some characters at some point. Much easier is to put them in safe place in inventory and input them all at once and then claim the rewards.

shards are on a timer... just cause you do event doesnt mean you will get a shard if you do it before timer is up. could be that certain alts were doing the event before timer is up so no shard and you just didnt notice.

Is it possible that you put the shards in the project already?

Edit: Could also be this. One of my characters is 2 behind the others because I didn't notice this.

I apply those event shards as soon as I get them. Cashed in the 14th and final shard today for the big payout. Now I can get smaller payouts with just one for the remainder of the event.

it must be such a drag to do something that takes about 10 seconds to do on 14 characters when you have already spent far longer then this to actually get the shards in the first place and so what if one or two times you happen to forget to apply the shard you will just apply it the next time when you add the shard from that day.

but at the end of the day its your choice, just don't kick up a fuss if one day you look and all of your shards have mysteriously vanished into the void and good luck trying to get cryptic to restore them.

I think I would rather take the very short time to apply the shards daily and at most perhaps loose 1 I might have forgot then take the chance of loosing anywhere up to 13 shards on each of the 14 character's you have.

there is only 1 place to store shards that I feel is really safe, in the project they are meant for.

I always start project soon as event starts, and put my 1 shard in every day. All of my characters run once a day. I only actively play 1-3 characters

For events though, I run them all in order so they all get the rewards at the same time. All of my characters are at 12 and 13 shards, except for 2. One is a character i got to 50 a few days ago, the other is the one that lost the shards.

Just hope I don't lose any more on my alts.

Were any of the Shards left over from the last Event? I know I had five characters with between 4 and 7 left over from the last Event in Inventory at this times start. I applied them right away into the project so a few of my characters finished up after 7 days. I made a concious decision the last time to save them to reduce the grind this time. Generally, with a few exceptions, I have not run them more than I needed except for one Delta Recruit character that was at 56 and was generally shy of Marks to complete the Reps.

The good thing about the Event is that regardless of the Shard you had one quick way to get the Daily Bonus for all the Reps.

I have 15 characters and did the event on all of them. Each day I contributed all of their shards to the project so I never had to worry about losing them or forgetting about them. I got into the habit of contributing the shards before I leave the map after the entity is defeated.

7 characters, for all of them I left the shard stack in my inventory until they reached 14. None vanished.

It's possible OP didn't pay attention to the 20 hour cooldown and did runs without earning a shard.

Im such an idiot, just remembered i had finished the torpedo on that character from last year. That would explain why the current event was only at 4.
