That would make a NASTY Mirror universe Escort Carrier type ship! I would buy that in a second. However, the bad news is, because Renegades is NOT officially sanctioned by CBS, the makers are not allowed to profit from it. Not sure if this applies to Original ship designs, but I have a feeling that CBS would still have to OK this for In Game use. I cant WAIT to watch renegades when it comes out on youtube, it looks AWESOME! Just the fact they are already starting on the next episodes is great news! Honestly I'm disappointed CBS hasn't sanctioned any of the fanmade movies. It shows how much love there is STILL for Trek. I think CBS is being stupid with Trek. Or perhaps it has more to do with paramount and JJTrek TRIBBLE everything up. But that's another argument.

I watched the it today I was pleasantly surprised by it I won't give anything away out it's not a Mirror ship and it takes place 10 years after Voyager gets back home.
Ugh. I liked Renegades better before I saw this wannabe x-wing abomination. Why do we live in a world where every starship has to have gun barrels sticking out everywhere? Couldn't they fit some blades there as well?

Wasn't Renegades being offered to CBS as a pilot for a new trek series if CBS picked it up ?.... I could see CBS saying yes if they pick up Renegades as a series.

But they didn't and don't plan on doing so for any Trek series in the foreseeable future.
Edit: Snippet from ST:R site. "As promised to our backers, we engaged the top entertainment attorney in LA who has exceptional connections to CBS and Paramount. For reasons we are not able to disclose, CBS cannot move forward with Star Trek Renegades at this time – or any Star Trek series for that matter."

Renegades isn't an official Star Trek production right now so it's impossible for Cryptic to add the ship.
Now if Renegades gets put into production by CBS, I would imagine then it very much could be added to the roster.
The Luna and Vesta would like to point out you mean improbable not impossible.
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though. JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

But improbable still means improbable.
And for now, the official news is that Renegades will not be produced by CBS and remains fan-made.
Luna and Vesta were done under official license for CBS-approved novels. I figure that helped the case, though we never really heard much about how the Luna made it in the game. Who was the artist behind it?

As Mustrum just said above, the Vesta and Luna are completely different stories. Where the Luna was a winner of an official design contest under Simon and Schuster (owned by CBS), and the Vesta was artwork that was done under commission. That is why it took over a year to get the Vesta into STO, because it took that long for CBS's laywers to transfer the ownership rights.
But the Icarus (Renegades) in all sense of the word is a completely fan-made design. Which means CBS would either have to pick up the series (which CBS said they are not interested in a new Star Trek series), or like the Vesta, spending months working out an agreement in legal work, costing thousands of dollars. Which means that "Improbable not impossible" is more like "unlikely".

If I want starships to look like war machines, then I'll watch BSG.
