pls revise cost of upgrades for rep gear

they cost way more than the regular crafted gear to upgrade... please adjust the abnormally large cost down to be in line with the regular cost of upgrades.

I'd rather they reduce the cost to upgrade all gear to where the same upgrade for the same dilithium cost goes twice as far. Most of my stuff is still at Mk XII and that's where they'll stay until the next double upgrade event

Kinda Agree here... if I have to pay 30K in Dilithium to Buy the item from the rep project, it should be more expensive to upgrade.

Reputation gear is usually a lot better than standard or other crafted gear and then there's the set bonuses... so it seems logical that this gear is more expensive to upgrade.

    And it's doable anyway.

Doable but like primar mentioned, a bit punitive after spending 30k dil to get it. Perhaps somewhere in the middle?

Honestly, the issue with the reputation gear is the cost to get rank improvement. Just have them put in an item that guarantees rank quality improvement upon level-up and the problem is solved. Make it Z-Store, Fleet Store, Dil Store, Lobi Store, or Lock-Box but just give us a guaranteed rarity boost.

I don't understand why the rep weapons cost so much dilithium to buy and upgrade when they are character bound while you can get better or at least weapons of equal quality that are ... and here it comes... account bound.

for the time/grind and cost to purchase a full rep set they should be Ultra Rare on purchase

Well, consoles are cheap to upgrade, but if you all find it that bad for rep gear, just wait until they do another Omega particle event and just play the minigame all day every day over and over. Easy upgrading with those.

    Agreed completely.

Right now, Rep weapons are undesirable. You can craft a weapon at Mark II and Upgrade it to Mark XII for less then the cost of buying a Weapon from the Rep store. The bonus to crafting it is you get a chance at a rarity upgrade along the way as well as the potential for better mods.

You can play it even safer and go with fleet weapons now that the DMG Mod boost actually made them relevant again. You can pick up Mk XII Ultra Rare Weapons for 10k FC and 8,500 Dilithium that are already ultra rare. The [CritD][DmG]x3 variants are particularly effective and far cheaper then Rep weapons.

Making Rep weapons UR would at least give them some benefit over crafting them since you won't have to gamble on an upgrade rarity. They would still be more expensive then fleet, but more accessible as well since they wouldn't require players to join a fleet.

Boosting Rep Weapons to UR seems like a very sensible fix.
    Insert witty signature line here.

They are far to expensive, regardless.

I only upgraded my Tac consoles and a couple of ground weapons, but that will be it for the foreseeable...

Lock box and rep weapons I don't even touch with the upgrade system, the cost makes it not even remotely an option in my eyes, one wrong mod added and poof there goes your expensive toy down in value to the point of trash!

After spending an obscene amount of dil and ec on upgrade stuff, for nothing, I won't spend another penny on this game until something changes drastically, and I have spent a good amount up until now. I tried to upgrade a warp core, 300k tp, 100k dil, 40 million ec to get upgrade tech and accel, all I got was a 17% chance to get to ur, not epic, ur. No thanks. Pretty much sank my morale to the bottom. I feel like this is way worse than getting ships from lockboxes, and I have a few of those, and even when I lost on those at least most of the time I felt like I got something worthwhile from them here and there. After this attempt to upgrade I just feel totally robbed.

What they should have done was made the double progress weekend a few weeks back permanent. I was able to get a few gadgets to mk XIV, none epic and I am not dumping that much dil trying for it.

I've done quite a bit of upgrading recently and it seems to me that it's gotten more costly to get a piece of equipment to Ultra Rare and Epic than it did initially. Maybe it's just me, but my initial experience with this upgrade system was that things would upgrade upon reaching 25% to 27%. Now, more often than not, it seems to take me all the way up to 35% to 40% before it makes the leap. Leaves me thinking...just how random is this?

I'm glad I haven't bothered upgrading anything. It seems exactly what I predicted it would be when it was first announced last year: a massive dil and ec sink.

I will wait until they lower the costs before I start using anything above mark XII rep gear.
