So, ummm, where has the Defara Invasion Zone gone?

Hello Devs,

So I was snooping around Tribble and have noticed that the Defara Invasion Zone is no more. As there is nothing mentioned in the patch notes, are we right to assume that this zone was shut down as part of your latency squashing or something more sinister?

I think I speak for many players by saying that Defara is a valuable source of Fleet Marks particularly with the absence of No Win Scenario.

Please say the blue sky in the Invasion Zone is only temporary.

    Seems the devs decided to use the krenim weapon ship to erase there most buggy zone from history.

    Despite the bugs, it held together well enough to be playable. Although city did test my patience on a number of occasions

    Yes. The Hards missions are buggy, but they gave the best amount of Fleet Marks of anything else in the game. And it also gave the neural processors, which made for handy Dilithium.

    And for anything from level 10 to 40, the Hards missions also gave you valuable gear that you could, and probably would, put to good use. At from 10-30, the XP you got from the Hards was very helpful. AND the amount of Fleet Marks you got meant that you could easily have enough Credits to get started on buying Fleet stuff by the time you reached 40. All of this is what Defera my favourite levelling method.
    I completed a 2-man CSE, ISE, and KASE, Optionals included. And I soloed Winter Invasion.

    I posted this in the latest update - moving here:

    So I popped on tribble, and noticed that all of my in progress Defera missions were dropped.

    Curious, I went over to Defera to see what was up. It looks different - the sky and general environment looks much crisper and more in line with modern STO standards. If it has been reworked, Tacofangs has done a good job on this.

    The NPCs have had all missions removed, and all enemies/interacts are gone. In addition, Probe and City Hard area are blocked off by forcefields, and Power Plant is completely inaccessible.

    I hope that this is just a work in progress bug fix. The bugs which plague City Hard (Borg not respawning after completion, forcing the next team to wait 7-8 minutes for it to complete) and Power Plant Hard (Console interacts often bugged, leading to Borg not activating and mission being impossible to complete, unless you are lucky and there is a second instance you can try) are frustrating, and do warrant fixing.

    That said, I hope there are no stealth nerfs included - I also hope you will keep the missions as accessible to all levels - Defera is a great PVE zone that you can run with new fleet members - everything else is level locked, which means its hard to find content you can run with them.

    So a little hope for bug fixes, mixed with some trepidation based upon past 'fixes' to content.
