So ive been using my T5U Vesta with a PartGen setup for a while, lover it. Dabbled with similar setups on the sci Oddy and palisade. But it's time for me to upgrade to T6. I want the Vestas fighter support, so that leaves me with the Sarr theln, with its sci slant and intel sears. Any ideas for making it a good PartGen build?
I was also thinking of using one wing of elite runabouts to hold targets for GW III and another for the elite Breen raiders for added damage. Thoughts?

I typically use the breen carrier for my energy drain build and I really like it. The intel seat helps too. While I do not feel comfortable enough with Science builds to give you a seggestion (I am normally an escort person) when chosing your carrier pets, don't forget if you have the breen raider unlocked you can get frigate versions of it for your hanger bays. They are tough and have some pretty good abilities on them.
If you want to move your Science play to T6, I'd advise you for the Scryer, T6 Intrepid, Dauntless. All 3 are excellent Science Vessels.
That said, I'm not just here to tell you a bunch of "No's." For a Sarr Theln, you have a Lt ENG/Intel station. The low ranking Intel abilities that may interest you for your build:
Override Subsystem Safeties I & II at Ens & Lt respectively - It lets you shoot waayyy above your hard Subsystem Power level caps temporarily and slowly bleeds down back to normal. Do this as part of your series of buffs before you lay in your best Science or Energy Weapon attacks. If you can already attain high Aux Power for your Science build, imagine what you can do if you pop OSS that lets you go from +30 or +40 over your Subsystem Power Caps before you use your best abilities.
Ionic Turbulence I at Lt - Lands a very heavy resist debuff as well as messes with the movement capability of enemies caught in its effects. Realize however that when you use this ability, it travels to where the target was when used. It doesn't track to target. But it's easy to get around that by pinning the target in place or firing it at close range. Very useful and now underrated ability. Use this before you fire off your best actual attacks.
Electromagnetic Pulse Probe I at Lt - Sends a little projectile to the target's last position. Like how Ionic Turbulence works now. As it travels, it has a strong chance to disable targets in a radius.
Between these 3, I would stuff OSS at the bare minimum. If taking 2, then OSS1 and Ionic Turbulence 1 would be my preference. EM Pulse Probe is an interesting alternative.
You want to know the best part about Intel abilities? They don't give a TRIBBLE about your Starship Skillboxes. Aux Power may play a role though.
Also, if you've been playing Iconian War content a lot, then you should be familiar with the effects of Ionic Turbulence and EM Pulse Probe. That's the stuff the Heralds hit you with. The difference however is they have many units doing that to players.
Having said that, personally i prefer a GW build the the breen Sarr theln (SP?) especially with the breen pets and a cluster torpedo in the mix.
It still performs well in PvP also.
Breen carrier is quite good in its own right as well.
I had good success with it using 2x Elite Scorpions, and plasma weaponry. The runabouts are great for PvP though.
Throw on the Particle emission torp for plasma cloud AoE on impact, or go the radiation route with the Neutronic.
Even the Gravimetric Torp works well with PartGen builds, with a chance to cast a mini grav well on impact.
Best damage sci skill in the game at the moment is Tractor Beam Repulsor's (but much more efficient with Graga Mal pull doff equipped). But you'd be just fine with GW1 and 3 if you prefer that.
Obviously there are the embassy consoles with PrtG, Exotic Particle Sci console with PrtG, and RCS with PrtG for maximum PrtG output.
like warmaker said; OSS is your friend boosting your systems way over max capacity for a short duration.
Hit your Rommy sci boost (from rommy rep tier 5) then OSS for ridiculous Aux boosting before casting GW or TBR.
Another interesting item to use on sci builds are the Nukara mines. High Aux benefits these mines greatly. They look pretty nice in action too.
Trapping the target in a yellow mesh and causing physical damage over time. (I think its physical) have to look at it again.
