I've got a dedicated graphics card; how can I make STO recognize it?

The only problem I've been having since I switched over to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1 is that STO tends to flicker. I figured that had something to do with the fact I was using a VGA cable, so I bought an HDMI cable and tried it out, but it unfortunately was still flickering.

Since my desktop's got both a dedicated graphics card and an integrated graphics card, I was wondering how I could get STO to recognized the dedicated one. :)

Thanks in advance for any help! B)

Windows 10 has known problems with video card drivers, namely that it forcibly installs the drivers that Microsoft prefers even if they are not the optimum ones for your hardware. Also, Windows 10 likes to default to your integrated graphics processor whenever one is present. Your best source of information would be the forums for your video card's manufacturer--somebody there should be able to point you to the appropriate drivers and how to install them.

    Thank you very much! :)

After finding out what my graphics card was [make and model number], I'd gone to the site and updated the drivers, but, unfortunately, it's still flickering. :/

What I'm gonna try next (once the maintenance finishes) is to mirror the graphics on my desktop so they're the same as they're the same as they were on my laptop and see if that works. :)

I'd mirrored the graphics settings from my laptop onto my desktop, but it's still flickering...so I'm thinking it's some sort of issue with Windows 10.

Are those of you who also have Windows 10 (and [obviously] playing STO) having similar issues? If so, how did you fix them?

try turning your intergated graphics off in your bios and just using your video card
