Will STO make it to year 6 ?

Current state Star Trek Online is going do you think that it will make it true year 6 or even year 7 or add another 5 years from now ?

    Yes.
    Yes for obvious reasons. This is the sixth year of STO. It started on February 2, 2015. After completing the 5th anniversary, STO entered it's sixth year. Now, if you meant 6 complete years, the answer is yes. It's only 6 months away.
    When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.

    Yes.
    I think it'll make year six. It's not really showing signs of dying, at least within the next twelve months. The only real warning signs are the slow loss of players on Steam, which could be due to a mass move to ARC (but lol who would do that on purpose); and Kestrel leaving - but devs come and go all the time so that in and of itself isn't a big red flag or anything.

    Expansion 3, whenever it may come, will be the decider, I think. If it flops like DR, we could be in trouble. If it's passable, we can hobble along well enough. If, by some stroke of luck, it's LoR-tier good or better, we may even see a revitalization.

    Yes.
    Although Cryptic are trying their hardest for it not to make it to year 7, the game will continue just fine.

    "Star Trek Online" died a few years ago. "Generic, colourful, space shooter mmo, loosley based on Star Trek" will make it to year 6.

    It'll keep going until a replacement comes along. Either a Trek game, or a space MMO.​​

    Yes.
    People have been predicting the death of STO since beta. It hasn't happened yet, and it won't happen as long as it keeps making a profit for PWE and Cryptic (and CBS).

    Yes.
    I would say YES, it's the only trek game so far, the other one that would come out didn't even make it to launch, guess there was money involved to crash that game, strange thing is sinds STO is online no game maker want to try a trek game or launch one, either paramount is keeping it of or PWE has a big word here to let others try. I think if they stop focusing on one thing only and put a bug team in the game will make it another 5 years if not I think it will flop. I would hate that after putting in so much effort and money into the game....
    Anyways I just hope they start listen to the people as well there are people out here with great ideas for this MMO that might actually work and attract a lot more people back to the game if they start listening to fans !!!

    Since, as others have pointed, we're already halfway into the sixth year of STO - the poll question is kinda' pointless.

    For me, it's not wheather it will make it to the 6-th Anniversary, but rather how will it make to the 6-th Anniversary. Will it be a game once again or a powerpoint presentation with Star Trek stickers as header and footer only.

    Yeah, it will make it. But the way there takeing it and changeing things, Draging out combat for an hour or more makes for a boring play for me.
    I still can't get my sig and picture seperated from neverwinter pages either. This sucks.

    This lies at the heart of my answer, in a way. The game is profitable, so it will continue. Issues of quality and 'Trekiness' aside, only a freak occurrence with the license would threaten the game while it remains profitable.
