Massive lag, frequent disconnects, recent regular problem

Howdie y'all.

I've been having massive, barely playable, see title for the last week or so in the afternoon/evening (US). Below is the tracert and for troubleshooting steps on my end I've reset everything possible, changed wireless channels to avoid local interference, and erected a small shrine to the demi-god of internet connectivity. Nothing. And as you can see from where it drops out below it looks like its on cryptic this time.

    Massive lag. Cant connect. With as much money i have put in this game, this needs to be fixed.

    I was fine connecting this afternoon, but this evening the launcher is slow to respond, or gets an error "Unable to contact account server," and I can't get past it. I'm also on Comcast, tracert looks very similar to OP's.

    Further edit: after I was able to connect again shortly after 12 am EST (sluggishly at first, then more normal by 1 am), I ran them again and found little difference. During the down time, other network-intensive sites (Twitch, Netflix) were fine.

    I am having the same problem. Tracert craps out on Cryptics end. Please fix this.

    I'm not on cable, but on CenturyLink, one of the local phone/telecom monopolies. I too have been having nearly constant network issues with STO (and only STO) of late - unable to start the launcher/authenticate, unable to login, and it's a coin-flip whether I'll be dropped to the login screen any time I switch maps, try to start a queue, change characters, etc etc. Sometimes I'll even get timed out between selecting a character and actually entering the game - bam, back to login. Again.

    I can supply a tracert and other details if you like, but the salient point IMO is it's not just Comcast or other cable customers, it's something further upstream.

    Same Problem especially in stfs, constantly effects the whole team at peak playing times.
    As I type, after my last disconnect, I'm not even able to get the launcher up. I get the "loading please wait ...." for at least an hour now. :*

    EDIT: - Funny, now that I think of it, most of my most problematic times are right after maintenance lately.

    The game is unplayable due to lag, rubberbanding, SERVER NOT RESPONDING, disconnects, Login2_Timeouts, launcher failure to load, character list not loading, game stalling on loading, etc.

    It is worse now, after your "maintenance" this week, than it was before.

    Nothing changed on my computer, except STO.

    My drivers are up to date.

    My OS is up to date.

    My computer is restarted.

    My modem/router is reset.

    My pings and tracerts are fine.

    The problem is STO. (The problem is YOU, Cryptic!!! Not Cogent. Not Comcast. Not our computers or drivers or modems or routers or ISPs.)

    Update:

    Things seemed to be OK on Monday (Tuesday wasn't on in the evening [US]) but last night things became unplayable again. I was still in game but that's about all I could do, be online.

    Now its morning and things are back to perfect.

    Issue still not resolved (if the other comments weren't sign enough of that), needs to be fixed immediately (though I've said that before and that hasn't stopped crpytic from visibly doing nothing, still waiting on a fix to make Risa/New Romulus playable after S10 killed them.)

    Hey Devs, I am experiencing temporal jumps. My ship is able to go back in time of few seconds. It's most noticeable in sector space but it happen also in normal maps. Unfortunately this time travel ability seems to interfere with the weapons and the shields (and also with the command). I am not using any krenim technology yet, maybe it's some temporal interference caused by them?

    I hope the krenim time ship dont experience lag while it is firing.. it could cause catastrophic events!! :D

    In my previous post I was clearly joking but now the situation start to be enervating.
    I got just disconnected from the server. Before I played for half an hour with massive lag.

    In response to all the Lag, rubber banding, SNR, Timeouts, launcher failing to load, broken traits, game play bugs, clipping in the tailor and everything else wrong with the game, We are proud to announce a new Tier 6 starship for you all to purchase, the ship hasn't been named yet, textures aren't completed, hard points are off, and the trait doesn't work but its live in the C-store now all for 3000 zen.

    And tried again "step between starts" and disconnected in the same spot. Is there something wrong with this mission?? keep being disconnected in the final step wtf.
