Ok, all these new things are great and I'm more than 3/4 into intel and pilot space specializations, ranked up my T5-U Fleet assault cruiser refit/unique including mastery iv and even with all power into shields, auxiliary and some in engines none in weapons, strategic command or shld freq mod, I'm attacked by of course a kdf or rom tac or sci escort or something with cloak or battlecloak, enough time to hear the decloak I of course hit Tac team 1 1st off, then and if I'm lucky enough to hit evasive manuvers before.... POW!!! I'm instantly turned into cosmic dust b4 I can even hit miracle worker 3 only 18k hp x2 with GUF then 4 min cd which is a joke, or reverse shield polarity almost useless with all this shield penetration damage these days, Aceton beam 3 would be much more useful with a 360 targeting arc or any other kinda abil or heal/ buff etc. but again rarely enough time to use them b4 instantly becoming cosmic dust again lol maybe TT is broken?
I use momentum, techie, bio-tech patch, elusive traits and any kind of personal and reputation defensive traits as well as deuterium burn, at least 100%-up to 150% defense bonus and at least 25-50%+ dmg resists ew and kinetic, I also use a variety of fleet or reputation equipment sets , I have a purple space Nurse Doff(which doesnt seem to work right takes 4ever still to recover 6-800 crew even , aux to damp 1 with purple matter-antimatt doff , epts1 n 3 sometimes, and of course rotate shield freq 3 (does much of nothing) and any/all defensive abilities bound to abil tray /row and balance shields bound to left shift /spam
but still....bam, insta DUST!? ..whats the point of engy-cruis heal/tank or whatever when some tac or sci or escort, scimitar or alien class ship pve adv/elite or pvp blows u into dust in less than 3 seconds and 2 shots with 50K-80+ DMG per shot per sec b4 an engy can even use a fraction of our skipper abilities? I can get over 80K hull hitpoints in my FACR but when 2 shots, 3secs is all it takes to instantly vaporize them??....
The classes have been unbalanced/nerfed since just b4 the start of LOR season 6, and it seems to be getting worse, something more must be done for engineer class and abilities vs other classes and abilities and perhaps cruisers in general.
When can we expect changes in these areas STO?
How many more feedback threads is it going to take?
How many more seasons?
BTW, Happy 5th anniversary tho, I do hear your working on these issues but I hope to see things a little more even someday very soon, please

I'm assuming PvP becuase even playing elite that doesn't happen in PvE except on rare occasions.
Vapers are pretty much the only way to kill anyone these days, since sustain is just so strong. Without vapers... PvP matches would go on for hours with nobody dying.

I'd say we all would say HSE is a challenge - beatable, but a challenge. Breach appears to be buggy and overly time consuming, Korfez has known bugs, but is otherwise easy, VCE and BDE are easy (other than the VCE bug), and there's some other elite queue that's not a challenge with a 50k+ team, but not worth running.
Survivability? A question for the squishy high dps'ers in some of those queues, not in Korfez or BDE really (other than the BDE one-shots), but VCE and HSE have the NPC's putting out the dps to where it can kill players, and does frequently in HSE.

If your piloting skills are good you can counter with evasives and EWP. Otherwise try tractor beam along with either a slowing ability or console.
There are so many resist killing, shield bypassing abilities, auto-debuff clearing (this REALLY hurts effects-based Science play), SNB effects without having SNB, everything about the Roms, etc, etc, etc... It goes way deeper , but PVP has been out of balance for ages. The PVP crowd had been warning about imbalances with every lockbox, every season, but Cryptic keeps on piling the Mega Power Creep.
