More and more boring movie sequences in special episode

For weekly bonuses we have to play this mission "Time in a bottle?!" again, again and again.. why is it not possible to skip the movies? If cryptic makes the decision, that we have to play 1 mission 100 times, pls in future give us the option to do it fast....

Esc works on some of them, but I just minimize the programme or wander off until it's finished playing.

ESC works at most of all not, particularly the longest sequences... what a game if it´s necessary to minimize it... they can do it better, but they don´t want it, isn´t it?!

No guys. ESC will not work on this featured episode, unfortunately. Same with a few more episodes and a lot of em in the old story. Same with almost the entire cardassian story arc and same with other episodes.

I think its time that we can skip everything, not just some episodes and others not.

Windowed mode and ALT-TAB are always available to help. Though Nog's arrival and 'kiss the staff' are totally worth re-watching.

I cant ALT-TAB because everytime i go back to the game, it switches to windowed maximized mode. And it is not worthy just to wait a few seconds. And anyways, thats not a solution to make time :) we should be able to skip everything once a characters did that episode.

Just make it unskippable the first playthrough. I just wish there were more ferengi hijinks when you played as a ferengi captain. Maybe there will be some more in the future.

I imagine that some are used to hide background loading, like the ones in Borg Disconnected.

I have to agree, the un-skippable cut scenes are trying.

When replaying it, I usually just keep my Laptop open so I can surf the web or watch Youtube Videos while the cinematics play on mute.

This is exactly what is happening with cut scenes that are not skippable in this game.

They will never be skippable, so if you can't stand watching it 3 times, with each viewing at least 7 days apart, just don't play them at all, and ask your doctor if Ritalin might be right for you. ;)

Any background loading is done far before the cutscenes are, and even if they are hiding some background loading, and I'm certain many do not hide anything, they should be skippable once that has finished.

The newer cutscenes I don't have a problem not skipping because I love watching them. On Reddit, one of the Devs (Tacofangs) said most aren't skippable because they're needed to help move things around in the mission. It's an engine limitation.

One of the Dev's explained this awhile back, I'll try and put down what I remember.

The unable to esc. out is due to the limitation of the engine, in this case, they have it when they have to move npc around or a similiar event.

IF it is a stagnant event (for lack of a better term) then yeah, they let you skip it.

of course some of these cutscenes are way longer than it takes to load an entire map, and some even happen at the end of the mission when there is nothing load. some even load nothing! it may have been the case in the past that some were unskippable for good reason, but these days they all seem to be unskippable, and merely for the sake of ensuring we sit through the entire cutscene.
