Delta Recruit Event- will it run again?

Is the Delta Recruit event going be run again at some later point? I know that this was a limited time event but it makes no sense to me why that was. I am not suggesting that they run it again immediately but maybe it should be a yearly event so that it gives returning players and new players a level playing field.

Are all players who didn't have time to run the event or new players permanently denied the Delta Recruit benefits? Personally I don't see any reason why the Delta Recruit system wasn't made a permanent feature of the game.

I know I will get flamed for this post with people saying that players had plenty of time to participate in the event but sometimes there are other obligations in life that may sometimes make participating in a time limited event difficult.

    The event as it is will return in some form. However, it won't be a delta recruit event since delta recruits was meant to be a lead into the Iconian stuff. Assuming they bring it back, they'll do it for their next big story.

    Seing the effort put in the event, with the temporal agents stuck on Qonos or ESD, and all the work done around the missions and so on, i will say that it will sure return, but we will change "Delta" with something else, watever is annoying us when the time comes.

    My guess is, when pwe feels that the ammount of players is decreasing, they will tell cryptic that another recruit event must be done.

    "Delta Recruit" is a generic enough name that there's no reason why they can't keep it for a new storyline. In fact I suspect that's the very reason why they called it that in the first place, instead of some more Iconian-specific name.

    Because Delta recruit makes reference to the Delta incursion and the delta story line, once that is over we cant be delta recruits anymore. If we are fighting the iconians, we will be iconian recruits.. for example :s

    Maybe not as "Delta Recruits" but no doubt Cryptic will run another recruitment event with server-wide goals and account rewards if the numbers are falling.

    I would love for it to be for rewards from the meters to be purely for exp because every other meters took forever to do because everyone preferred the exp boost which frankly isnt surprising considering the endgame grind.

    I haven't tried it yet but, my fed delta recruit still hasn't finished the cardassian arc, and yet I use the temporal doohicky inventory item and it calls up the DR ui thus leading me to think I can still complete the objectives and claim the rewards for him.

    you can, as long as you got the thing you should be fine. if you don't you wish they have it again if only for weekend.

    I am ok with the event not being called "Delta Recruit". The name is irrelevant as long the rewards and benefits of the event include the previous "Delta Recruit" rewards in addition to any new rewards that are part of whatever the current/new event is.

    The event or an event like this will probably return at some point. It will probably always have some time limited exclusiveness to it, because a goal is to motivate players to do it when it's on, to get actual players into the game and not just potential future players.

    be nice even if only as a weekend thing. and it kinda make sense as we seem to be about ready to some crazy time stuff.

    I just hope it will be different enough from DR (rewards & stuff) that it would make sense to run it again (for whoever did complete it on the first run).
