Can someone explain the difference between the [Cap2] and [Cap]x2 procs please? Also is there anyway to find out what the stats would be without the [Cap2] proc in effect.
Neither [Cap] or [Cap2] are procs, but are passive (always on) increases to shield capacity.
[Cap2] doubles the shield's capacity whereas [Cap] increases it by 10%
[Cap]x2 uses two of the available modifiers for the shield (it's essentially [Cap] [Cap]) and is a 20% increase in capacity.
Items get 1 modifier at common (green), 2 at rare (blue), 3 for very rare (purple), 4 for ultra rare (violet) and get a 5th special upgrade at epic (gold).
[Cap2] (as far as I know) is only available as an Epic upgrade for ground shields.

I do indeed have a ground shield of epic quality, Yet I'm unsure as to whether the [cap2] is working correctly. I friend seems to think it isn't. Now I already know there's an error some where because the shield tool tip states a total capacity of 577 and yet the stats window displays a capacity as 576.
First, be sure you are on a ground map. Second, put it on a boff not your captain (traits and skills can have rounding or other weird display anomalies). Or leave it in inventory.
Finally, it may simply be a rounding display error if its one point off like that.
