can't get laucher to start keeps saying updating laucher but going no futher

    i though so but you can most of the time get laucher up to download patch

    They're also doing network maintenance, so that's why you can't connect.

    we are now (as of me typing) somewhere in hour 4 of what is supposed to be a 6 hour maintenance. So, we will see if it comes off on time and working as really intended

    This maintenance cycle is extra-long due to the fact they are working on the servers, not just the game itself. So that may be the difference.

    hopefully its to fix the shocking lag which is making this game fall on its TRIBBLE, this is probably one of the worst online games I have ever played for lag not being fixed, world of tanks, world of warships and star wars TOR all ping at under 40ms with no judder

    Which is timed to PDT, which means 4pm EDT which means about 2 hours still, again :)

    Well, they sure know how to destroy gameplay. I guess they are so advanced that they destroyed their own.
    I believe they needed 2 hours more, because they had to find the fire extinguisher. Of course they don't have a fire extinguisher because all the money that the game makes goes to the CEO.

    I hope they put out the fire by now... And as always, the game play is even worse after an update.

    You would think the developers of a Star Trek based MMORPG would apply Scottys principles of engineering times to their stuff. ALWAYS estimate much more time needed than you think it will take. Then if you get done early you look like a hero and genius, and if things go wrong, you have a more than ample safety margin to fix the goofs.

    just for the hell of it, i am also out for the counting. unfortunately around this exact time i got to be on to do the daily flying high on risa, if i dont do it today it would be 5 days missed on the count.

    edit: yeah, the fictional underworld place where the devil resides is apparently an offensive word. dunno why when used in other constructive contexts.

    the inability to patch is annoying.
    and of all games I says im a neverwinter user...I haven't played that in almost a year.

    and they just said they see weirdness in the patch server (probably the not patchingness) so another hour added, so...we are back to about 2 more hours :) *sigh*
